Match Summary

Fatal 4-Way #1 Contender’s Match

It is a #1 Contender’s Match between Matt Riddle vs Chad Gable vs Tommaso Ciampa vs Ricochet to face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. All the four members had a pretty decent start, as Gable and Riddle had a upper hand initially. Gable was he crowd favorite as it is his home town (Minneapolis, Minnesota). Where Gable hit a Triple German Suplex to Riddle, Ciampa and Ricochet. Towards the end, when all the four in the ring, Ricochet went for a splash, Ciampa countered with a knee and a powerbomb to the back f Ricochet, Riddle took Ricochet away, Ciampa hit a Famouser to Riddle, Gable hit Ciampa with a German Suplex for a win.

Winner: Chad Gable Ratings: 3/5

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed controlled the most part of the match, where he never gave chance to Nakamura to dominate him. However, Nakamura used Reeds’ small mistakes and attacked with rapid leg strikes. Reed hit a running powerbomb to Nakamura but he kicked out, when he climbed the top rope and jumped for the Tsunami Splash, Nakamura scrolled out. Nakamura then hit a Kinsasha to the back of his neck and with a traditional Kinsasha for the win.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura Ratings: 2.5/5

Shayna Baszler vs Zoey Stark

Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark turned it into a fight, where Becky was in the ring side enjoying her lemonade. Zoey had the full control of the match until the final few moments, she targeted Baszler’s injured arm. Zoey tackled every moves of Shayna Baszler and never gave her a chance. Shayna however pulled out a win at the last moment by hitting “Piper’s Pit” finisher of Ronda Rousey.

Winner: Shayna Baszler Ratings: 2.5/5

Otis vs Ludwig Kaiser

Otis and Kaiser developed a rough talk into a match earlier involving Maxxine Dupri. Kaiser went for rapid punches on Otis to start the match, however, Otis got fired up by those punches and slammed him to the floor. Kaiser then hit Otis with a penalty kick to his mid section, which took Otis some time to recover. Meanwhile Kaiser and Maxxine had a crash talk, between the talk Otis gained the momentum and attacked Kaiser locking him in the corner. While Otis measuring Kaiser for a Caterpillar, Giovanni Vinci tried to distract Otis. Where Otis took Vinci with a vertical suplex to send Vinci out. As Ref. was busy sending Vinci out, Gunther attacked Otis and made Kaiser win. After the match, all the three members of Imperium attacked Otis, but Gable rushed to the ring to make the save. Imperium retracted and had a stare down before leaving.

Winner: Ludwig Kaiser Ratings: 2.5/5

The New Day vs The Viking Raiders

The Viking Raiders issued an open challenge to any team from the locker room to face them in a tag team match. The New Day music hits, where Xavier Woods was joined by the returning Kofi Kingston, they had a huge pop and chants! “NEW DAY ROCKS” from the WWE Universe. Kofi and Xavier were in control by frequent tags. However a round kick by Ivar took the match to their side, they attacked both by controlling the mid-match. However after Kofi got tagged in, he delivered Ivar with a SOS, but he kicked off. Ivar and Eric then tagged in and measured Kofi for their finishing move, however Kofi escaped and send Eric outside the ring. He tagged Xavier and hit “Trouble in Paradise” to Ivar and Xavier hit “Limit Break” Shoulder Drop for the win.

Winner: The New Day Ratings: 3.5/5

Six Man Tag Team Match

The Six Man Tag Team Match between The Judgement Day and Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn was originally planned for the main event, however Sami Zayn got injured by the attack of JD McDonagh and was not cleared to compete tonight. Shinsuke Nakamura replaced him and joined Rollins and Rhodes. While Judgement Day making their way to the ring Rhea got attacked by Raquel Rodriquez, who wasn’t medically cleared yet. Raquel had a brutal attack on Rhea to start a brawl, where Indi Hartwell, Candice LeRae and Securities came to stop the brawl by controlling Raquel. However, Rhea attacked Indie and Candice by throwing them to the barricade. The match kicked in, Dom and Nakamura started the match and after commercial The Judgement Day took the control. They took the control back after Cody got tagged in, as he took Priest out with a disaster kick, Balor with a Cody Cutter. While measuring for a Cross Rhodes, Priest attacked Cody with the Briefcase to the back. Balor took the briefcase on his hands, but Rollins hit a superkick to Balor. Sami Zayn ran from the audience side and took Priest away and Cody delivered a Cross Rhodes to Balor for the win. After the match Rhodes and Rollins shook hands, but Nakamura turned on Rollins by delivering a Kinshasa.

Winners: Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins & Shinsuke Nakamura Results: 4/5

Results

Chad Gable (W) wins by pinning Tommaso Ciampa and become the #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Championship.

Shinsuke Nakamura (W) defeated Bronson Reed via pinfall.

Shayna Baszler (W) defeated Zoey Stark via pinfall.

Ludwig Kaiser (W) defeated Otis with an assist from Gunther.

The New Day (W) defeated Viking Raiders by pinning Ivar.

Cody Rhodes (W), Seth Rollins & Shinsuke Nakamura defeated The Judgement Day as Cody pinned Balor.
