Here are the results of the final episode of SmackDown before SummerSlam 2023.

LA Knight vs Sheamus

LA Knight vs Sheamus to kick off the show, LA Knight walked out in style, with a massive crowd pop. LA Knight spoke through the microphone about the 25 Man SummerSlam Battle Royal, that is about to happen tomorrow at SummerSlam. He then calls out Sheamus and match begins, Sheamus with Butch and Ridge Holland walked out to the ring.

Sheamus had the initial control of the match, while LA Knight countering his moves. With minutes after the bell rings, participants of the Summerslam Battle Royal started surrounding the ring including Santos Escobar, The Miz, Karrion Kross and Grayson Waller.

LA Knight with an Elbow, and failed to attempt his finisher BFT. Sheamus with a white noise over the top rope. While both battle, a both occurred on the top rope to make both men fall on the ground. The other members around the ring started a turmoil, following Austin Theory attacking Escobar.

The Miz took everyone down, however Sheamus locked him on the ropes for a ten beats to the chest. Where LA Knight goes for a roll up and a miss. He then hit Sheamus with a BFT for the cover and won. Karrion Kross tried to attack him from the back, but Knight escapes to have a deep stare down with Karrion Kross and Grayson Waller.

Winner: LA Knight defeated Sheamus Match Ratings: 3/5

Brawling Brutes vs O.C.

Following the turmoil during the match between LA Knight and Sheamus, they were arguing backstage with WWE Official, Adam Pearce. Who booked an impromptu match next, where Butch and Ridge Holland of Brawling Brutes take on Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows of O.C. Gallows and Holland started the match, with multiple tags between them. Butch tagged in and targeted Anderson’s right hand, but he some how dragged him to tag Gallows.

During the commercial, Karl Anderson took control of the match by locking Holland with an arm bar to the ground. Holland tagged Butch in, who is fired up to clean house by sending Gallows with a running kick to their corner and jump to Anderson’s right arm for a quick cover, but Gallows saved the match. With all the four inside the ring, Street Profits attacked both the teams and joined by Bobby Lashley on the Entrance Way.

Result: No Contest Match Ratings: 2.5/5

Austin Theory vs Cameron Grimes

Austin Theory was interviewed backstage about his United States Match against Santos Escobar next week. He talked about beating him to retain the championship and dedicate his victory to old Rey Mysterio. He walks to the ring for a match with Cameron Grimes.

Austin took the first shot, but was distracted by Santos Escobar who was in the entrance way, blocked by the securities. Using Theory’s distraction, Grimes hits his finisher Cave In for the pin, but Theory survived as his leg touched the ropes. Grimes had rapid kicks and strikes on Theory. Grimes climbed the top rope for a jump, but Theory pulled the ropes to make him fall and hit “A-Town Down” for a win.

After the match Escobar attacked Theory with a “Fantom Driver” sending him a message for their United States Championship Match next week.

Winner: Austin Theory Match Ratings: 2.5/5

IYO SKY vs Zelina Vega

IYO SKY and Bayley was in the Grayson Waller Effect, where Shotzi Blackheart with a shaved head appeared with a trimmer to trim Bayley’s hair. Bayley escaped Shotzi by running towards the audience area.

Meanwhile, IYO SKY vs Zelina Vega match started, where both went for a double clothesline and lying on the ground during the commercial. Zelina took control for most of the time. Zelina delivered a “Mediora” from the second rope. IYO soon regained her momentum with a slam, and climbed the top rope for a Moon sault.

IYO got distracted by Shotzi and Bayley’s fight at the entrance way. While being distracted by the two, Zelina used the opportunity to throw IYO from the top rope and hit her with a “Code Red” for the win.

Winner: Zelina Vega Match Ratings: 3/5

Jey Uso vs Solo Sikoa

Jey Uso entered the ring first, and Solo Sikoa arrived with Paul Heyman on his side. As soon as the match started Solo took the control and started punishing his brother, Jey. He had a clear intention of not allowing Jey to make to the SummerSlam.  Jey scrolled out following Solo’s attack, where Sikoa followed him and cleared the commentary desk to slam Jey. But Jey escaped from Solo’s hands and pushed him to the commentary desk. Jey came out with a suicide dive on Solo, to gain the momentum.

However, during the commercial, Solo regained his momentum to deliver a Belly to Belly Suplex on Jey. He hit a couple of Somoan drop and marked to hit Jey with a running splash to the corner. Jey escaped and hit Solo with punches taunting The Rock.

Solo hit Jey with a clothesline, Jey hit Solo with a Superkick, Solo hit Jey with a Superkick. Jey went for a spear and a Uso Splash for the win. After the match, Solo attacked Jey from behind, but Jey countered him with steel chairs. Jey stood tall over the Commentary table and SmackDown went in air.

Winner: Jey Uso Match Ratings: 4/5

Match Results

LA Knight (W) defeated Sheamus.

Brawling Brutes vs O.C. ended in a No Contest.

Austin Theory (W) defeated Cameron Grimes.

Zelina Vega (W) defeated IYO SKY.

Jey Uso (W) defeated Solo Sikoa.
