WWE is going to visit India after six years.

WWE is said to tour India in a couple of weeks and is scheduled to host a live event exclusive for the Indian fans, “WWE Superstar Spectacle“. This is the first time WWE is hosting an event in India since 2017 and eighth time overall. It should have been the ninth, but the 2021 Superstar Spectacle was canceled in India as a result of the COVID19 Pandemic, instead held in the Thunderdome in Florida.

WWE has booked multiple major stars for the event including the 16 time world champ John Cena, who is booked to wrestle his first match since WrestleMania 39 Day 1. As the stakes are set high for the event, there are huge expectations on the show world wide. Now a common query started circulating among the fans, whether the event will be broadcasted live or not?

Is WWE Superstar Spectacle Broadcasted live?

The 2023 WWE Superstar Spectacle is said to be hosted live from the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on September 8, 2023. As per the latest reports by PWInsider, the Superstar Spectacle will not be televised in Peacock and other WWE Networks live. Since Sony Sports Network is hosting and promoting the show in India, they could air the taped footage from the event on the matches and segments on the weekly WWE program.

The previous edition of the WWE Superstar Spectacle in 2021 was taped and telecasted on television on the Republic Day of India as a tribute to the Indian fans. However, Indian fans might expect the show to be aired on a tape delay sooner or later on the Sony Sports Network.

More about Superstar Spectacle

WWE had never advertised a SmackDown Superstar in the 2023 Superstar Spectacle, that it has a chance of being a Raw exclusive live event in India. However, since Cena is returning to the SmackDown a week before might pick a superstar from the Blue brand.

Other than John Cena, superstars including Gunther, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Matt Riddle and Ludwig Kaiser are said to feature on the event. Indian wrestlers such as Jinder Mahal, Veer Mahan, Sanga and Shanky are also expected to be involved in a match at the event.
