WWE Fastlane 2023: Predicted Matchcard

(Courtesy : WWE)
The 2023 Fastlane is the upcoming premium live event of WWE following Payback. It is the seventh edition of the event that takes place in Grainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 7, 2023. It marks the first premium live event in Indianapolis since 2016. This is the first time that the WWE Fastlane has been held in October and on Saturday. With over a month for Fastlane, here we predict an early match card for the show.
Match Card Predictions
WWE Women’s Championship: IYO SKY vs Charlotte Flair
IYO SKY has won the WWE Women's Championship from Bianca Belair after cashing-in her Money in the Bank contract at SummerSlam. She was expected to challenge IYO SKY for a rematch as Payback, but went off television for weeks. However Charlotte Flair was active as she came to attack The Damage CTRL on the final episode of SmackDown before Payback. If that's the case, IYO SKY will defend her WWE Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair at Fastlane. Which will be her first-ever pay-per-view championship defense.
World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura have been in a feud since the SummerSlam fall out episode of Raw and had their first World Heavyweight Championship match at Payback, in which Rollins won. After the match, Nakamura attacked Rollins to re-initiate the feud. At Raw, Nakamura denied the impromptu match, but both have their heat within them. They will be fighting again for the World Heavyweight Championship at Fastlane.
The Miz vs LA Knight
The Miz is having an ego issue with LA Knight, that he hates him for his sudden popularity and fame. They had a match at Payback, where LA Knight won the match with last minute special referee stipulations, with Cena as the special referee. He demanded a rematch with LA Knight without a special stipulation on the latest episode of Raw. So this will be likely booked for the Fastlane ppv.
Cody Rhodes vs John Cena
It has been rumored for weeks, since John Cena announces his return to the company. Since wrestlers from the red and blue brand are involved in feuds. The likelihood for the match card is damn high. So they would have their match at Fastlane and it would be a friendly battle as both being the babyfaces of the company.
Intercontinental Championship: Gunther vs Jey Uso
The longest reigning Intercontinental Champion Gunther has just retained his championship and broke the Honkey Donk Man's record of the longest reigning Intercontinental Championship reign. He will likely defend his championship against the Main Event Jey Uso. He is new to the Raw brand and could soon pick up the single's championship matches as he came here as the single's wrestler.
