WWE Payback Results & Winners: The Judgment Day owns Payback, Jey Uso returns
New Undisputed Tag Team Champions, Jey Uso returns, Becky proves who is great, Cena as referee and more!
The 2023 Payback is officially over and it turned out to be one of the best premium live events in recent times. The show features some of the great matches, a title change, a Bloodline member return and so on. Get to know what happened on the most anticipated premium live event, Payback. Here is a full match summary, results and ratings for the show.
Match Summary
Steel Cage Match- Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus
Trish tried to sneak out from the cage the moment after the bell, but Becky stopped her. Becky is fired up and hits Trish with three BeckXploder (Back Exploder).
Trish sent Becky face first to the cage, and locked her between the rope and cage. Trish hits Becky with a Clothesline, and crashes Becky's face on the cage. Becky got her momentum and sent Trish to the cage and drove face first on the steel cage. Becky applied the Dis-Armer, but Stratus counters. Trish showcased her flexibility with a bridge, but Becky delivered a Leg drop over the mid section. Both climbed the cage, where Trish's face was blown on to the Cage. Becky hit her with a leg drop to the back of the head.
Both took the fight to the top rope, as Trish climbed the cage half-way through, Becky caught her and hit her with a Powerbomb. Trish countered Becky’s pin and sent Becky to the steel cage and delivered a Widows Peak.
Trish measured for a Stratisfaction, but Becky countered with a Twist of Fate. Trish then hits a Stratisfaction and climbs the cage, both on the top rope. Trish with a bull dog from the top rope.
Trish climbed the Cage, as both sat on top of the cage and exchanged blows, Trish sent Becky down, but Becky soon climbed up and caught her. Trish's leg is between the cage and hangs upside down. Becky pulled her off and delivered a Superplex from the top rope.
Becky climbs the cage as Stratus scrawled towards the door. Becky came down and dragged Trish's leg and Zoey came out of nowhere, dragged Trish's hands to outside, but Becky pulled her like the Tug of War.
Zoey then hit Becky with the door and entered the cage, Trish went for a cover, but kicked out. Becky delivered a Man handle Slam to Trish and went for a cover Zoey stopped. Becky and Zoey exchange blows as Trish climbs the Cage. Becky hit Zoey with a Manhandle Slam and another Manhandle Slam to Trish from the top rope for the win.
After the match, Zoey tried to lift Trish, but Trish pushed her and stated that she lost because of her. Zoey locked the door and hit her with a Z360 and walked out.

LA Knight vs The Miz
John Cena came to the ring and made LA Knight vs The Miz match a Special Referee Match as he is the referee himself.
Miz walked out after the bell rang stating they hate the place and stipulation, Knight chased him and dragged him to the ring. Both exchanged hands, but Knight had the upper hand. Knight delivered an over the body throw. Knight sent The Miz out and blew his head over the commentary table, as Knight broke the count and came back to Miz, but Miz sent him face first on the commentary table. Miz then hits Knight’s face into the barricade and breaks the ref. Count. He sent Knight over the barricade, but Knight hit Miz with a Clothesline from top and dragged him back to the ring.
Cena had some face off with The Miz and LA Knight as the pressure developed between them.
Miz hit him with rapid Yes kicks and sent Miz Spine first with a throw down and a Neck Break. Miz measured for a Clothesline on the corner, but Knight moved out and hit him with a Spinning DDT. Miz somehow rolled him out for a pinfall with the help of ropes, but Cena refused to count and kicked Miz’s hand from the ropes. Miz and Cena argued with each other, Knight tried to attack Miz, but went inch close from hitting Cena. Miz tried to cover, but LA Knight hit him with a Slam, his signature Elbow Drop and BFT for the win.

United States Championship Match
Theory took Rey to the corner straight after the bell ring, but Rey countered. Theory hit him with a Clothesline and sent Rey to the corner. He hit him with a Splash, jumped to the other side of the rope, pushed him down and delivered a Stomp to the chest. Theory with a couple of Fisherman Suplex and grabbed Rey’s neck and went for a swing.
Theory took Rey to the top rope and tried to rip Rey's mask away. Rey stopped him and hit him with a Moon Sault. Rey slides and hits Theory with a Sliding DDT. He dragged Theory in and climbed the top rope for a Senton. Rey measured Theory for a 619, but Theory escaped. Theory took Rey on his Shoulder and delivered a Spinning Powerbomb.
Rey sent Theory to the middle rope and hit him with a 619. Theory countered Rey's Splash with his knees. Theory lifted Rey for an A-Town Down, but Rey countered with a Roll-up for the win.
Winner: Rey Mysterio Ratings: 2.5/5
Steel City Street Fight- Undisputed Tag Team Championship Match
Zayn-Balor, Owens-Priest exchanged hands and went outside the ring. The champs had the initial upper hand. Sami threw multiple chairs to the ring and went on to hit Balor, but Balor surprised him with the Kendo Stick. KO attacked Balor from behind, and Priest attacked KO. Zayn went for a Suicide dive on all. KO and Zayn dumped the trash can on Balor’s head and swung with the Kendo Sticks to the head.
Priest attacked KO right on the face with the trash can. Priest tried to hit KO with the steel chair, but KO countered and attacked him with the Steel Chair. Balor with another chair hit KO. Sami with another chair sent Balor out. Priest and Balor walked to the audience area, as the champs chased them. Dominik came from nowhere and attacked KO and Sami as the three sent KO and Zayn through the barricade. They came out with a hockey jersey and hockey sticks in their hands and swung on the trio and took Dom out.
They tried to trew Balor over the chairs, but Priest hit them with the Hockey stick and delivered a slam to Zayn over the chairs. Priest and Balor attacked KO and took him to the audience side. Zayn ran through and attacked both by frog splash from the Kickoff commentary desk. Dom showed-up again, but Owens took him off laying on the table and with a Swanton Bomb from the seating area from the top.
Zayn and Balor were in the ring, as Zayn measured Balor for a Helluva Kick, Priest threw the trash can to the face of Zayn. Both tried to finish Zayn with a combination of a Razor bomb and Stomp, Zayn escaped and sent Balor out. KO and Zayn attacked Priest. Zayn hit Priest with a Helluva Kick and went for a cover, but McDonagh pulled his legs off. KO attacked McDonagh, but Rhea speared Owens breaking the barricade. Zayn hit Balor with a Helluva Kick and went for a cover, but Dominik hit Zayn with the briefcase to the face and pulled Balor's hand over Zayn for the win.

Grayson Waller Effect
Grayson Waller interviewed Cody Rhodes, as Cody tried to start his talk on his signature way, Waller stopped him. He made a joke of him, where Rhodes said that all that runs on his mind is to pick the fight and run a Cross Rhodes on him. Crowd asked for it, but Waller regretted it. Cody will be on SmackDown, as he introduced the Newest member of Raw, Main Event Jey Uso. Jey came to the ring with huge pops, but Waller stopped him while celebrating his return. Jey hit Waller with a Superkick.

Women’s World Championship Match
Bothe lock their shoulders, and push each other. Rhea Ripley had the major control of the match as she dominated Raquel throughout.
Rhea hit three Clotheslines to Raquel, but not enough to take Raquel down, but Raquel hit him with a Clothesline and took her down. Raquel went for a slam, but Rhea quickly gained the momentum and hit her with a drop kick.
Rhea with the control, with rapid kicks to the midsection. Rhea is beating Raque on the back of her head and grabs her hair (bullying). Rhea slammed Raquel and kicked her on the back. Rhea applied Abdominal stretch on Raquel and to a neck lock. Raquel tossed Rhea, but Rhea sent Raquel face first to the ropes. Rhea targeted the injured knee on Raquel and Raquel targeted Rhea’s back.
Towards the climax, Dominik came to help Mami, but Raquel caught her and hit him with a running slam. Rhea used the distraction and attacked her injured leg and delivered a Rip Tide for the win.

World Heavyweight Championship
Both twisted their hands as Rollins had the upper hand with face lock. Nakamura taunted Rollins' back injury and hit him with kicks to the lower back. Rollins picked the phase and sent Nakamura out and hit him and delivered him a Suicide Dive. Rollins measured him for a Pedigree, but Nakamura threw him back first and kicked his lower back. Throughout the match the back injury of Rollins played a major role, as Nakamura kept targeting it over and over & Rollins wasn't able to lift Nakamura for any powerful moves .
Rollins hit Nakamura on the back of the head and measured him for a Curb Stomp, but got countered and locked the Sleeper holds. Rollins escaped but Nakamura hit him with a flying knee to the face. Nakamura slammed him and delivered an overhead suplex. Nakamura went for an exploder and measured Rollins for Kinshasa, but Rollins hit him with a Superkick.
Rollins then hit him with a couple of elbow strikes. While on the third, Nakamura locked the Arm bar and converted it into a Triangle. Rollins lifted him through the shoulders and delivered a powerbomb, despite back injury.
Towards the end Nakamura slams Rollins with a landslide from the middle rope, and hits him with a Kinshasa to the back of the neck. Nakamura measured for a Kinshasa by countered by a Superkick. Rollins measured for a Stomp, but Nakamura countered with a kick. Nakamura with a Roll down, but Rollins with a Stomp for the win.
Winner: Seth Rollins Ratings: 3.5/5
