Roman Reigns to feature at October 27th episode of WWE SmackDown: Reports

Roman Reigns has been the Universal Champion for more than three years, surpassing the 1100 days mark. He defended the championship against every opponent who stepped in front of him for the title shot. At SummerSlam, Reigns successfully defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against his cousin Jey Uso in a Tribal Combat Match. Where Roman injured his lower back after a brutal assault by Jey.

He appeared the following week on SmackDown and got beaten by Jey. Since then Reigns is nowhere to be found, and only is contacted by Paul Heyman through phone. As the most awaited return of The Rock finally happened on the latest episode of SmackDown, everyone were waiting for Roman Reigns' return. At this stage, a backstage report on Roman Reigns' return to television has been announced.

Roman Reigns return

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Reigns' next title defense will not come until WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 4. Since Reigns is not scheduled for Fastlane on October 7 and is expected to have his first match after SummerSlam at November 4th Crown Jewel, his return to television is expected before the premium live event.

According to Fiserv Forum's Official Website, Roman Reigns will return to WWE on the October 27th episode of SmackDown in Milwaukee Wisconsin.

Roman Reigns vs AJ Styles?

Since Reigns' match is planned for Crown Jewel, who will be his opponent has been the hot topic. As per various rumors, AJ Styles who has been feuding with Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa is speculated to be the next challenger for Roman Reigns.

It is notable that Roman Reigns has only one appearance after SummerSlam and would not defend his championship for more than three months. As per WWE rules, a champion who couldn't able to defend his championship will be forced to vacate the championship.
