Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura to main event Payback 2023: Reports

This match is the biggest and exciting match of this event.
Seth Rollins is said to go one-on-one against Shinuke Nakamura this Saturday night at Payback with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Rollins and Nakamura have been in a feud since Nakamura turned on Rollins three weeks before on Raw. Where Rollins added Nakamura to his team with Cody Rhodes and defeated the Judgment Day in a Six Man Tag Team Match. After the match, Nakamura turned on Rollins and hit him with a Kinshasa and walked away.
Since multiple rumors were speculated on why Nakamura attacked Rollins, he explained the reason for his actions the following week. He stated that he always has his eye on the World Championship and that's the reason behind his attack. Rollins agreed to give him a title shot at Payback and Nakamura whispered in Rollins ears, which made Rollins stunned and paved the way for Nakamura's attack from the back.
The internet again went on a buzz to speculate what Nakamura told Rollins. Nakamura opened on a backstage segment that he told that he knows about Rollins' back, referring to his injured back. Rollins accepted that he has been suffering from a fracture in the lower back and it wouldn't stop him from being the champion. Nakamura then started playing games and attacked him from the back.
Payback Main Event Might be Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura
According to Michael Cole (referencing Wrestling Ops on X), the World Heavyweight Championship Match between Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura will main event WWE Payback tomorrow night.
This is the only primary championship that is defended on the line at Payback and there is no equally big match for the night. Since the Undisputed WWE Universal is not being a part of the event, and less involvement of the SmackDown roster for the Payback could make it the main event.
First Main Event
Since the new World Heavyweight Championship was unveiled and defended, it has never main evented the pay-per-view. It will mark the first main event match for the championship, if it was made so.
