Sheamus is one of the most incredibly talented athletes, who has a 15-year-long career in WWE television. He had some of the major victories and championships in WWE. He is a four-time World Champion, three time United States Champion, four times Raw Tag Team Champion, and 1 time SmackDown Tag Team Champion. He also won the King of the Ring 2010, Money in the Bank 2015, and Royal Rumble 2012.

He is one championship (Intercontinental) away from becoming the Grand Slam and Triple Crown Champion. He had a great match with Edge a month ago on Edge’s 25th Anniversary after which Edge announced that his contract expired. It is now reported that Sheamus' contract is just months from getting expired.

Sheamus' contract update

Fightful Select reported that The Celtic Warrior had signed a five year contract with the company in 2019, which is expected to expire in early 2024. It is also stated that Sheamus' contract is not the only one to get expired in early 2024, however superstars like Becky Lynch and Drew McIntyre's contract ia also expected to end on the same time. However there might be a change in time frame considering various factors. Recently WWE has extended Drew McIntyre's contract due to an injury hiatus.

Sheamus frustrated with WWE creative

Sheamus already expressed his frustrations with WWE creative earlier this year,

When speaking to Daily Star, Sheamus said,

“I’m not upset about that at all,” he explained. “I felt it was great, it was just the type of character Sheamus is, all fists and elbows. What I was upset about and what really bothered me was the creative after that. I came out of that with so much organic momentum, and it was just wasted. It didn’t go anywhere.

It was a dead end, just like with WrestleMania. Drew went away because he was injured, but I was ready to go and then just nothing. There were no avenues and nowhere to go and that’s frustrating. I did the War Games thing [after Clash at the Castle] but that was s*** – that’s how I felt, though others might have felt differently.”

Will The Celtic Warrior sign a contract extension in WWE? What do you think?
