The Rock to wrestle at Elimination Chamber: WWE Rumors

WWE has confirmed the venue and date for the WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 a week ago. The 2024 Elimination Chamber is scheduled to be on February 24, 2024 at the Optus Stadium in Perth, West Australia. The event marks the first WWE event in Australia since WWE Super Showdown in October 2018. This is the third consecutive Elimination Chamber PLE that is held outside the United States. 

The Event carries the expectation of wrestling fans around the world following the success of UFC PPV earlier this year. To raise the stakes, it was reported that The Rock is in talks to have a match at Elimination Chamber in Perth.

The Rock at Elimination Chamber 

As per the reports of The West Australian, following the fact that WWE was sold to Endeavor and merged to TKO Groups, there is a strong discussion on making the very first WrestleMania under the TKO Groups should be showstopper. Thereby, they are in talks to bring THe Rock to wrestle in Perth in February and have a warm up match to face Roman Reigns two months later at WrestleMania.

The West Australian says, 

“Adding to the speculation is the fact that WWE was recently sold to Endeavor. There is a strong suggestion the company, which also owns the UFC, wants its first WrestleMania in charge to be an absolute showstopper. As a result there is talk The Rock might very well wrestle in Perth at the Elimination Chamber in February on his way to WrestleMania to face Reigns two months later.” [h/t Wrestlelamia.co.uk]

The Rock recently returned to WWE after a long time of over four years on SmackDown at Denver. The Rock appeared with Pat McAfee and took Austin Theory. Before appearing on the SmackDown The Great One appeared on the Pat McAfee Show, where he spoke about being open for WrestleMania 40 and his potential match between Roman Reigns. It might turn true, If the West Australian reports come true.
