Bully Ray wants LA Knight to prove himself at WWE Crown Jewel
LA Knight is one of the fastest rising stars who has reached this height within a short period of time. He has been brought to main roster as a valet and transformed back to wrestler, fought with some rare wins, won the hearts of WWE Universe, won the Slim Jim Battle Royale, became the lead merchandise seller, defeated The Miz, teamed up with Cena and now about to wrestle against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
As it is one of the biggest matches for LA Knight, his TNA/Impact wrestling buddy has now spoken about Knight’s match with Roman Reigns.
Bully Ray on LA Knight
Bully Ray recently spoke to Busted Open Radio, where he addressed LA Knight’s upcoming match against Roman Reigns. He said that he isn’t expecting the title change as it is a risky decision business wise.
“I could not see it happening. I think it would be the most risky decision business-wise I've seen in a long time. It's obviously pro-wrestling and sports entertainment and you never know if somebody gets a bug up their a** or somebody says 'Screw it! Let's shock the world and change it!' It is what it is, but I cannot see them doing that. They are very calculated right now with the decisions that they are making.”
Knight could still be a star
Bully Ray believes that although Knight gets defeated an incredible performance against Roman could help him excel in his career.
“LA Knight comes out of this match with Roman Reigns, an elevated guy. More of a made guy with a hell of a showing. And I think this match with Roman in front of however many, 50, 60, 70,000 people over there is going to be a massive test for him. How does he hang in the ring? This is a little bit more than a Television match. This is a legit pay-per-view match. I think he has a great opportunity to succeed with Roman's style.”
'Sink or Swim' for Knight
Bully Ray advises Knight to prove that he is capable of sharing the ring with Roman Reigns as this is being a ‘sink or swim’ game in the end. He believes that Knight is good in the mic, but this is now time to prove how good he is in the ring as a main eventer.
“Roman is going to work a very solid match that is very easy to work. But LA Knight's got to go out there and shine. This is a classic case of go over and get over. LA Knight's number one priority for Saudi is to get over as much as he can in spite of Roman going over on that night.”
“He has to prove to the office that he can hang with Roman Reigns on a very big stage. And you would think that you're either going to sink or you're going to swim. They're looking for the little things. They're looking for the transition... Roman has a certain flow in the ring. They're looking for LA Knight's flow also. That main event match flow that Roman has developed.”
“When it comes to on the mic, yeah, LA Knight is 'there' right now. In ring work? To hang and bang with a true main eventer? We'll see.”
As Bully Ray said Crown Jewel is the most important night for LA Knight, as he could clearly kick out from the mid-card and could transform into a constant main eventer of the pay-per-views. However, we need to wait until Saturday to witness the epic battle.
