What could be the effects of Cody & Jey winning Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles?

Cody Rhodes brought Jey Uso to Monday Night Raw, after he quit WWE. Jey had a lot of conflicts backstage, but he backed him up. The Judgment Day tried to bring Jey into their stable, but Jey rejected their offer and preferred to stay against the villainous group. Cody & Jey challenged Damien Priest & Finn Balor for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles at Fastlane.

Marking the first tag team championship for Cody in nine years and first championship for Jey without Jimmy. Not only does this impact them, but also impacts the DNA of the main roster. So what are the effects of Cody & Jey winning the tag titles.

Cody & Jey on SmackDown

Cody & Jey winning the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship will help them appear on both the brands.  As the Undisputed WWE Tag Team championship is the common championship for both the brands, they can appear on SmackDown regularly and could pick up feud with superstars on either brand.

Cody Rhodes can get close to Roman Reigns

As Cody can appear on SmackDown more regularly he could get closer to Roman Reigns and will restart his feud to finish the story. Cody had a match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 and since then he hasn’t got a chance to see Roman face to face. He is defeated by the Raw brand and Roman is on the SmackDown. Unless Cody has this tag title with him he could be way more close to Roman Reigns and could finish his storyline as soon as possible. 

Jey vs Jimmy will be reignited

As per backstage reports, Jey Uso vs Jimmy Uso is already in plans and could expect it to happen at WrestleMania 40. However Jey appearing on SmackDown could lay the base for the feud very soon. This might take the Bloodline storyline to a new chapter with the build.

Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso

The former champions Kevin Owen & Sami Zayn could challenge Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso as their first opponents for the Undisputed Tag Team Championship. This might create tensions between the four and could make the tag team division more interesting. Kevin Owens is the one who didn’t believe Jey’s face turn, but Sami Zayn did. This could put a big pressure on Sami Zayn on which side he would pick.

Judgment Day Split

After losing the Tag Team titles, Balor and Priest made The Judgment Day championship less. McDonagh’s accidental briefcase strike on Priest was one of the major reasons for them losing the championship. As a result of this, there might be a big change in the stable and could result in internal tension and split-up.
