WWE Raw (October 2, 2023): Matches, news, rumors, predicted matches, timings, telecast details
The October 2, 2023 episode of Monday Night Raw is scheduled to be aired live from Sap Center in San Jose, California. This is the final Raw episode before Fastlane and is expected to be filled with great hype between the feuds, confrontations, contract signings, a preview match and much more. Here is a clear preview, prediction, match cards, rumors and telecast details of this week’s Raw.
Preview on the Match card and Predictions
Jey Uso vs Damien Priest
Since Jey Uso returned to Raw, The Judgment Day were interested in having him in the stable. But Jey declined the offer and super kicked all the three. Last week on Raw, when Damien Priest and Finn Balor defended their titles against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, Jey came to counter Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh against Judgment Day. Although Priest and Balor retained the titles, Cody and Jey continued their brawl, which pissed off Priest, who asked Pearce to book a match this week.
As per speculations, the match might end in a no contest by the involvement of Balor, Dom and JD McDonagh from Priest side and Cody, Owens and Sami on Jey’s side. Leading to a long term feud.
NXT Women’s Championship- Becky Lynch vs Tegan Nox
Tegan Nox visited Becky Lynch backstage last week on Raw and asked her for a title shot. Becky promises her a title shot after her title defense against Tiffany Stratton at No Mercy, Where Natalya interrupted her and asked Beky for the shot, leading into a match, where Nox defeats Natalya to become the rightful challenger. On the other hand, Becky retained her championship title against Tiffany Stratton at NXT No Mercy. Now Becky is ready to defend her championship on the line for the second time in three days against Tegan Nox this week.
As per speculations, Becky Lynch will retain the title and is expected to witness a heel turn of Tegan Nox after the match.
Intercontinental Championship Contract Signing
Gunther is set to defend his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Tommaso Ciampa. Ahead of the match this Saturday, they are all set to sign the contract this week to make this match official. The contract signings might turn into a brawl, where Imperium would attack Ciampa and Alpha Academy might come to the aid of Ciampa. Which may or may not turn into a Six-Man Tag Team Match.
Nia Jax vs Shayna Baszler
Since Nia Jax returned to WWE in mid September, she has been attacking superstars of the Raw Women’s division. She attacked Raquel Rodriguez and Rhea Ripley, who were sent to rehab for injury. The following week, Jax attacked Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, Piper Niven and Chelsea Green during the mid-match. Zoey, who was one of the victims of the Nia Jax assault, challenged her last week to a singles match and lost. This week Zoey’s current tag team partner and Nia Jax’s former partner, Shayna Baszler will go one on one with Nia Jax.
As per speculations, Nia Jax will win the match and she might offer to join her and have a tag team run once again.
Xavier Woods vs Ivar
The rivalry between The Viking Raiders and New has been continuing for more than months. Last week on Raw, Kofi had a match with McIntyre and lost by the distraction of Ivar, who attacked Xavier Woods. McIntyre won the match and left Kofi alone, which made Ivar throw brutal shots on Kofi. This week on Raw, Ivar will go one on one with Xavier Woods.
As per speculations, Ivar will win the match and Drew McIntyre might be involved in the reason for the loss of Woods.
