Becky Lynch added to WWE Survivor Series War Games match

WWE announced during the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia that the 2023 Survivor Series will feature the War Games match. The following week on Raw, the Men’s War Games between Judgment Day and the team of Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Sam Zayn and Jey Uso was announced. It was then reported that Women’s War games Match will be from the SmackDown side and might involve Damage CTRL, Charlotte Flair and Shotzi Blackheart following the joining of Kairi Sane and Asuka to Damage CTRL.
War Games match announced
On the latest episode of SmackDown, Asuka, Bayley, Kairi Sane, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY came to ring to kick off the show. Bayley inducted Asuka to Damage CTRL with the instructions of Dakota Kai. Kai then asked Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Shotzi to find a partner with a fourth member for them as they challenge them for a WarGames match. Following the announcement, Shotzi, Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair tried to attack them, but the numbers game took them out, forcing them to regret.
In search of the fourth member
Throughout the episode of SmackDown, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, and Shotzi Blackheart searched for the fourth member to join them. Bianca Belair first approached Mia Yim, but was soon attacked by Damage CTRL. Belair then tried to convince Zelina Vega, but Damage CTRL took her down after that. Damage CTRL had their intentions clear of removing the potential fourth member, who could join the opposite side.
As Bianca, Charlotte and Shotzi weren’t able to find the fourth member, Charlotte called an old friend, who she had a hate and love relationship with in the past. However Flair was not sure that she would be on SmackDown, before the show ends, as SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis asked them to announce the fourth member before the show ends.
Becky Lynch joins Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair and Shotzi Blackheart
Bianca Belair, Shotzi Blackheart and Charlotte Flair came to the ring with the hope that their friend would join them. Damage CTRL confronted them and said that they will never find the fourth member, as they don’t have any friends on their side. When they approached the ring to attack them Becky Lynch joined Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair and Shotzi and had a brawl at SmackDown.
PW Insider previously reported that, Becky Lynch would join Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair and Shotzi Blackheart to face Asuka, Bayley, IYO SKY and Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL in the War Games Match and was now proved right.
Becky Lynch’s history with Damage CTRL
Damage CTRL debuted against Belair and Lynch at Summer Slam 2022, and they had a long rivalry. Before Damage CTRL got drafted to SmackDown in 2023, they maintained the feud without a proper end to the rivalry. Becky Lynch continued the feud for a long time with Damage CTRL and even won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from them. Since the feud is built on Damage CTRL and wrestlers who are offended by them, Becky Lynch joining Flair and Belair is a keen decision.
