CM Punk finally returned to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 during the final moments of the show. He officially stepped into the WWE arena after nine-long years and made a huge reaction from the WWE Universe. His return not only surprised the WWE universe, but also the wrestlers in the locker room.

Punk’s return made a big impact in the wrestling industry and most claim that this is one of the greatest returns in WWE history and here is why.

The long wait is finally over

CM Punk’s WWE return has been rumored for almost a decade, ever since he left the company in 2014. Although Punk had previously announced his retirement from pro-wrestling career, his return talks have always circled the internet time after time, year after year, PPV after PPV.

Whenever a return is teased, fans always wanted it to be Punk. Although Punk returned to the wrestling ring at AEW, it wasn’t as impactful as his current WWE return.

No one saw that coming

Both the sources from WWE and CM Punk turned the rumors down and gave zero hopes to the fans. Although the company has teased with Punk’s reference, the continuous decline from the sources made everyone believe not to expect his return.

With such a blame on his shoulder that he carried from his previous company and his present company in the previous departure, it was said that his wrestling career is nearly over and he wouldn’t be employed there again.

However, his return gives hope for all that the right time could change it all. His return could possibly give hope for wrestlers who left or were released from the company, that anything could be possible in the future.
