Brock Lesnar's WWE title reigns through the years

Brock Lesnar is one of the most powerful wrestlers of all time and has been in the championship spotlight all time. The Beast Incarnate has won a total of ten-world championships in WWE, however never won a secondary or tag team championship. Lesnar won the WWE Championship seven times and Universal Championship three times. Here we take a look at Brock Lesnar’s every WWE championship win.

Brock Lesnar’s WWE Championship reign (7 times)

First Reign

Brock Lesnar won his first WWE Championship at WWE Summerslam 2002 from The Rock. This is the first title win for Brock Lesnar in WWE and with this he became the youngest wrestler to win the WWE Championship at the age of 25 years 44 days. He also became the second fastest wrestler to win the WWE Championship since debut with 126 days. Lesnar held the championship for 84 days and lost to Big Show at Survivor Series 2002 after being betrayed by Paul Heyman.

Second Reign

Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship for the second time at WrestleMania XIX from Kurt Angle. Lesnar held the championship for 119 days and lost the title back to Kurt Angle at Vengeance 2003.

Third Reign

The Cat and Mouse story continued as Brock Lesnar grabbed his title back from Kurt Angle on the September 16, 2003 episode of SmackDown in Raleigh, North Carolina. Lesnar held the championship for 152 days and lost to Eddie Guerrero at WWE No Way Out 2004.

Fourth Reign

Lesnar’s fourth WWE Championship win came after a decade, where Lesnar defeated John Cena at the 2014 SummerSlam pay-per-view, by delivering 16 suplexes and two F-5s. He held the championship for 224 days and lost to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31, as Rollins cashed-in his Money in the Bank contract during the championship match between Roman Reigns & Brock Lesnar.

Fifth Reign

Brock Lesnar won his fifth WWE Championship after five years at SmackDown’s 20th Anniversary in Los Angeles, California from Kofi Kingston. He held the championship for 173 days and lost to Drew McIntyre at Wrestlemania 36 part 2, in a vacant WWE Performance Center at Orlando, Florida.

Sixth Reign

Brock Lesnar won his sixth WWE Championship at Day 1 pay-per-view from Big E in a fatal five-way match involving Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. Where Lesnar was inserted at the last minute as his Universal Championship match was canceled, as Reigns was unable to compete. Lesnar held the championship for 28 days and lost the title to Bobby Lashley at the 2022 Royal Rumble, by the interference of Roman Reigns.

Seventh Reign

At the 2022 Elimination Chamber, Lesnar entered the Elimination Chamber match and eventually won the title back by defeating AJ Styles, Austin Theory, Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins. Lesnar held the championship for 43 days and lost to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38 Night 2 in a Winner Get’s All match.

Brock Lesnar’s WWE Universal Championship reign (3 times)

First Reign

Brock Lesnar won his first Universal Championship at WrestleMania 33 from Goldberg in a squash match. Lesnar held the championship for 504 days and lost the championship to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2018.

Second Reign

Brock Lesnar was originally said to face Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship. As Roman Reigns vacated the title, Lesnar faced Strowman in a singles match for the vacant title at Crown Jewel 2018 and won. Lesnar held the title for 156 days and lost the championship to Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania 35.

Third Reign

Brock Lesnar won his Universal Championship back from Seth Rollins at WWE Extreme Rules 2019. He held the championship for 28 days and lost the title back to Rollins at SummerSlam 2019.
