WWE Royal Rumble 2024: Surprise entrants we could see

The 2024 Royal Rumble is the upcoming premium live event of WWE, which kicks off the Road to WrestleMania 40. It is the 37th edition of the Royal Rumble and is scheduled to be held on January 27, 2024 at Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Florida. The event has a separate fan base, especially for the Royal Rumble Matches. As the hype for the show is getting heated up, here are the surprise entrants we could witness at Royal Rumble 2024.

On-roster WWE Returns

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar took a long hiatus from television after SummerSlam 2023 and never seen then. The has been a lot of rumors that Lenar might return to television at Royal Rumble as one of the entrants in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match and possibly pick up the feud there. Lesnar is also spotted featured in the WrestleMania-themed truck and it almost confirms his return.

Sheamus

Sheamus has been away from television since August, 2023 after a match against Edge (Adam Copeland). It was reported that Sheamus suffered a shoulder injury. It was previously expected that he might return during the week of Survivor Series based on live show bookings, however was not back then. He might return to television as one of the surprise entrants at Men’s Royal Rumble.

Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan suffered back to back shoulder injuries in July 2023, and wasn’t seen on television yet. She recently had allegations for holding drugs in her car. Although it’s been a bad day for the former SmackDown Women’s Champion, she seems like cleared with her injuries. She could probably be returning as one of the surprise entrants at the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.

Big E

Big E has been away from television for a very long time since March 2022. He broke his neck during the match and was never seen again, but had worked backstage. It was reported that he was medically cleared a long ago and would be returning anytime soon. It could possibly be at Royal Rumble 2024 as the surprise entrant.

Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman went for a neck surgery after the WWE Draft and had his surgery right. He is in rehabilitation and seems to be working well. The Monster among Men might possibly return as a surprise entrant in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match.

Andrade Cien Almas

It was reported from the AEW side that his contract is expired after AEW World’s End and the inside sources from WWE report that the company is looking to have him on television very soon. He might be making his return at Royal Rumble 2024 as one of the surprise entrants.

Matt Cardona

Matt Cardona has been the one who has changed the game completely in the Independent Circuits and is now a top star in the industry. He has been looking forward to making his way back to the company sooner and teased it multiple times on his social media handles. He might finally land in WWE once again at the Royal Rumble Match.

Sasha Banks

It was reported that Sasha Banks and WWE had talks of possibly bringing her back in the company, however the talks failed as the money demanded was too far. Although it was reported that there aren’t any talks after that, there is still a chance as Punk’s return talks were also reported as failed talks and he still appeared in a surprising way. Banks might return to WWE at the Royal Rumble 2024 as one of the surprise entrants.

AJ Lee

The rumors on AJ Lee’s return have started speculating on the internet ever since CM Punk’s return was made. Punk himself has mentioned her few times on television. AJ also had teased her in-ring return recently with his Instagram posts. As the teases and rumors are getting stronger and stronger the hope of her return is also getting bigger. The former Divas Champion may return to WWE at Royal Rumble 2024 as one of the surprise entrants.

WWE Debuts

Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill got signed to WWE and appeared on television on some of the occasions backstage, although she didn’t make her in-ring debut yet. Cargill might make her WWE debut at Royal Rumble 2024, by entering the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.

MJF

MJF’s current contract with AEW is officially over and he claims that he hasn’t signed any new deal yet, which makes him one of the hottest free agents. MJF might get signed to WWE and could make his debut at the Men’s Royal Rumble Match as a surprise entrant.
