Jade Cargill is one of the youngest and most talented women’s wrestlers in the wrestling Industry. Cargill worked for AEW for almost four years from 2020 to 2023, where she was the dominant figure with a 60 Match Undefeated Streak. Cargill was the inaugural and longest reigning AEW TBS Champion, who held the title for 508 days.

When her contract came to an end with AEW in early September 2023, a lot of rumors regarding her status speculated on the internet. However, a confirmation regarding her new deal has been released.

Jade Cargill in WWE

Jade Cargill was rumoured to be signed with WWE in recent times and was speculated to visit WWE Performance Center a week before. Earlier today, it was first reported by ESPN that Jade Cargill is officially signed to WWE and was confirmed by the WWE officials. She signed a multi-year contract with the company.

ESPN wrote,

“Cargill, who was AEW's longest-reigning TBS champion and appeared on AEW television as recently as two weeks ago, will start with WWE on Tuesday at its Performance Center in Orlando, officials said. It remains unclear if Cargill will go straight to the WWE main roster or if she will first perform for its developmental brand, NXT.”

WWE officially announced it on X (Twitter),

It was also reported that Cargill had reported to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida last week from September 18 to 22. Cargill previously attended WWE tryout in 2019, before starting her pro-wrestling career with AEW. Jade Cargill becomes the second major star after Cody Rhodes to jump from AEW to WWE.

Cargill’s WWE creative plans were already made

On last week’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE has already started working on Cargill's creative. They discussed her status, whether they would debut in NXT or not, her experience level and how her debut impact and creative plans would be and how much she got paid and so on.
