WWE Raw Summary and Highlights
Cody Rhodes – John Cena
The 16-time WWE World Champion, John Cena, entered the ring as the London crowd unleashed with “John Cena Sucks!” chants. Cena grabbed the mic, but before he could, Cody Rhodes’ music hit and the American Nightmare was here! The O2 Arena erupted as Cody made his way to the ring, with the crowd still singing his song even after the music cut off.
Rhodes took the mic and came face-to-face with Cena, the “Cody, Cody Rhodes” chants shaking the arena. He told Cena he’d listened to him talk for two weeks, but now it was his turn. Cody mocked Cena’s past insults, even poking fun at himself and his “Stardust” days.
Cody then reminded that Cena would be facing ‘Stardust’ at his final WrestleMania, he then taunted Cena about how ‘Superman was really dead’. As “Let’s go Cena, Cena sucks” echoed through the arena, Cody called Cena out for lying to the fans, and the “You sold out!” chants rang loud. Cena fired back, saying he wouldn’t “punch down” to Cody’s level.
Cena claimed Cody was protected for too long, and now it was time for him to bury Rhodes like he had buried everyone else. Cena tore into Rhodes, saying he didn’t bury talent, he was talent, and he buried mediocrity. He called Cody “underwhelming” and claimed that the crowd’s chants were nothing but a crutch for his “mediocre” act.
Cena said that Rhodes was too polished and rehearsed, playing to the crowd, while he had earned his success through hard work. The “Cody, Cody Rhodes” chants roared again as Cena laid into Rhodes, calling him a “16-year-old” still terrified of public speaking, and a “mediocre” talent who tricked the fans. Cena bragged about being the last true champion, saying he made empires for billionaires, while Rhodes just stole from their kids.
Cody shot back, saying Cena was the company’s creation and that the crowd had chosen him, not Cena. He reminded Cena that the guy who chose him wasn’t even in the office anymore. Rhodes then fired off, saying Cena still hung around Zac Efron and wished he was 16, while he himself was never afraid to speak the truth.
Rhodes threw a final shot at Cena, saying Cena didn’t leave WWE better than he found it and asked, “Who sold out to The Rock?” Cody admitted Cena was still his hero, but called him a “piece of sh*t”, and the crowd followed suit with “piece of sh*t” chants. Cena snapped, claiming he had worked harder than Cody and had never been given the same protection.
Cena declared he didn’t leave because no one else was worthy to carry the company, and he was always here, despite the garbage WWE handed him. He said he built empires for billionaires, while Cody only took from their kids.
Cena tried to leave, but Cody stopped him, reminding Cena that no crowd had ever chanted “You can’t wrestle” at him. As the crowd chanted it, Cena stepped back into the ring, and the tension was palpable. The two were face-to-face, ready to explode, until Cena turned around to throw a cheap shot.
But Cody was ready, catching Cena and hitting a devastating Cross Rhodes, leaving Cena flat on the mat as the crowd roared with “Cody, Cody Rhodes” chants. Cody tossed the “Last time is now” towel on Cena and posed with the title, marking his territory as the future of WWE.
New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) vs New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne)
The New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne) were revealed as the opponent for the New Day as Tyler Bate made his return after a long absence. While the team of Bate and Dunne took control early Kingston and Woods slowly gained back the momentum.
In the final moments of the match, Kofi tagged in Woods as Dunne fought back, taking out Kingston. Bate was tagged in, and he and Dunne double-teamed to land the final blow. However, Woods seemingly bit Dunne as Kofi pulled Bate off his knee on the apron.
Woods and Kofi then delivered the final blow a double stomp to the chest from the top rope onto Dunne. Woods made the cover, and the New Day defeated the New Catch Republic. After the match, Cathy Kelly walked in to interview the New Day, asking if their win further cemented their connection for the World Tag Team Titles.
Woods yelled that they deserved it, while Kofi stated that they were more than worthy of a shot at the World Tag Team Championships. Suddenly, the War Raiders’ music hit, and the World Tag Team Champions, Erik and Ivar, made their entrance. The two teams came face to face, continuing their heated argument as the tag champs flaunted their titles.

Jimmy Uso was backstage preparing for his clash against Gunther when Jey Uso walked in and embraced Big Jim. Jey said he wanted to be with Jimmy tonight during his match against Gunther. Jimmy motivated his brother, telling him that Gunther was just a man who could be beaten and that he would defeat him tonight.
Jimmy then told Jey that he would take down Gunther at WrestleMania and become the World Heavyweight Champion. The two embraced as Jey told Jimmy to be careful and assured him that he heard him and would act on his advice.
Gunther vs Jimmy Uso
World Heavyweight Champion Gunther locked horns with Jimmy Uso in the second match of the show, while Jimmy gained momentum in the beginning and even landed the Uso Splash to seal the victory the champion stayed in the match.
In the final moments of the match, Jimmy was all fired up as he charged at Gunther, but Gunther retaliated with a devastating dropkick, followed by a powerbomb. He went for the cover One, Two, but Gunther broke the pin himself, refusing to finish the match as he mocked Jimmy. Gunther followed up with another big boot and a clothesline.
Gunther went for another cover, but once again, he broke the pin. “Yeet” chants filled the arena as the official checked on Jimmy, who managed to get back to his feet. Gunther quickly locked in a sleeper hold, and despite Jimmy’s efforts to fight back, he faded and eventually went to sleep.
After the match, Gunther returned to the ring and locked in another sleeper hold, refusing to let go as the official pleaded with him to release the hold. Suddenly, Jey Uso’s music hit, and he charged into the ring, attacking Gunther.
The Champion tried to retreat, but Jey followed him unloading multiple shots near the announce desk. Gunther, however, managed to flee the scene, making his way backstage. Jey then turned his attention to Jimmy, checking on his brother after the brutal assault.
Gunther attacks The Usos
Jimmy Uso was being helped out of the arena by Jey and officials when Gunther ambushed them from behind. He continued the brutal beatdown on Jey, landing vicious chest chops. The Ring General lined up Jey for a powerbomb, but security and officials begged him to stop.
Gunther, undeterred, turned his attention to one of the security guards, powerbombing him onto the steel steps before going back to Jey. He zip-tied Jey to the second rope, and despite Jey’s efforts to fight back, he was left defenseless, trapped.
Now, Gunther turned his focus to Jimmy, throwing him violently into the barricade. The Ring General laughed at Jey, who was helplessly trying to break free, and mocked him further. Jey yelled that he would beat Gunther, but the Champion remained unmoved.
As Jimmy tried to get back into the ring, Gunther took him down once again with the title. Gunther mocked Jey some more as Jimmy struggled to get to his feet. Turning his attention back to Big Jim, Gunther delivered another brutal powerbomb on the mat, while Jey, still zip-tied, helplessly tried to break free.
Jey pleaded for Gunther to leave his brother alone as Jimmy bled profusely, but the Champion wasn’t done. He wiped Jimmy’s blood on himself, then threw Jimmy toward Jey, only to pull him back and deliver brutal elbows, while Jey desperately tried to save his brother.
Finally, security and officials rushed in, pleading with Gunther to break the hold. Adam Pearce stormed into the ring, furious as he yelled at Gunther who was covered in Jimmy’s blood as he flaunted the title with a sadistic grin.

Morgan remarked that it looked like Balor and Dominik had buried the hatchet, to which Balor responded that brothers fight, but they always have each other’s backs. He then added that they were now ready to battle Bron Breakker and Penta tonight.

Bron Breakker & Penta vs The Judgment Day (Finn Balor & Dominik Mysterio)

In the final moments of the match, Penta was tagged in, and he and Breakker double-teamed Balor, sending him down for a cover. However, Mysterio broke up the pin, and Breakker sent Mysterio flying outside the ring. Penta climbed to the top rope, but Mysterio intercepted him, while Carlito distracted the official.
Breakker went for a spear, and Mysterio shouted for Balor to duck. Breakker delivered the spear to Penta, sending him crashing down. Breakker was then sent outside the ring, and Balor capitalized, landing the Coup de Grâce on Penta. He made the cover, and Judgment Day handed Penta his first pinfall loss, even though it was in a tag team match.

Chad Gable complimented General Manager Adam Pearce stating that he did an amazing job singing El Grande Americano. Pearce, curious, asked how Gable was feeling.
Gable started coughing as he handed Pearce a doctor’s note and explained that he wasn’t feeling well. Pearce responded that he had heard as much, but reminded Gable that next week’s Raw was in Minneapolis—his hometown. Gable assured Pearce that he’d recover by the time he hit American soil.
However, Pearce disagreed, saying there was no one better to compete next week than El Grande Americano. Gable tried to plead his case, but Pearce stood firm. The crowd kept booing as Logan told them that they would do as they were told, claiming they would wait. ‘Shut the fu*k up’ chants roared through the arena as Logan said that he had had a change of heart and would not stoop to Styles’ level.
Logan stated that he forgave Styles for what happened in Madison Square Garden, but he had not forgotten and warned Styles not to try that again. Styles mentioned that he had a daughter too and could relate. He forgave Paul, which left Paul confused as he asked what he was being forgiven for.
Styles fired back, saying he had forgiven Paul for being the “biggest douchebag in WWE”. He then pointed out that while Logan had all the talent, it would only get him so far unless he figured out what he truly wanted to do with it. Styles and Logan continued to exchange words, and Styles revealed that he had his gear on, standing in the middle of the ring.
Paul then said that he was done talking, but he didn’t fight for free and that London couldn’t afford him because everyone there was broke. Paul continued to berate the crowd and told Styles that he should aim higher, pointing to the WrestleMania sign.
Logan attempted to land a cheap shot, but Styles fought back, hammering Paul and going for the Styles Clash. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were backstage when Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and Carlito walked in, celebrating their earlier win against Breakker and Penta. Balor stated that he had pinned Penta and, for the second week in a row, had battered Bron Breakker.
Balor mentioned that he would talk to General Manager Adam Pearce about an IC title match against Breakker and leave. Morgan pointed out that Balor had said “I won,” not “we,” and then reminded Dominik that he never lost like Balor when given the chance. Morgan ended the segment by saying she would talk to Pearce after Balor was done and would ask for the IC title match.
