The grandest stage will emanate from Las Vegas

The road to WrestleMania 41 kicked off at the Lucas Oil Stadium on February 1 with the Royal Rumble PLE. The Stamford-based promotion is now preparing for the Elimination Chamber PLE which is set for March 1 in Toronto, Canada.

However, every star in the promotion is desperately waiting to get a chance to compete on the grandest stage after the Elimination Chamber PLE in April. As the WrestleMania 41 PLE inches closer, storylines and matches have started taking shape.

The 41st edition of WrestleMania is scheduled to take place over two nights on April 19 and 20, 2025. The massive event will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, USA. This is the second WrestleMania to take place in the Las Vegas area.

The grandest stage will feature stars from both the Raw and SmackDown brand of the Stamford-based promotion. The 2025 edition of WrestleMania will also be the first Mania to stream on Netflix in most international markets, following the transition in January 2025.

Gunther (c) vs Jey Uso – World Heavyweight Championship Match

‘Main Event’ Jey Uso defied all odds and eliminated the 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena to win the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match. After winning the match, Jey took his time to celebrate the win but he had a big task in front of him, which was to choose which champion he wanted to face at Mania.

While Jey initially leaned towards ‘The Ring General’ Gunther, he wanted to shuffle through options and visited Friday Night SmackDown to meet with the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. However, the World Champion made Jey’s job easy as he ambushed him during the opening moments of the 02/10 episode of Monday Night Raw.

The Ring General then locked in a submission, yelling, ‘Don’t do it, Jey!’ as security and officials rushed in to diffuse the situation. Instead of deterring Jey, the attack only made his decision clearer as he picked up the mic and said, “Me and you at WrestleMania.” The two stars will now battle at the grandest stage as Jey looks to create history and hoist the World title, Gunther wants to prove that Jey is ‘a mid-card talent’.

Tiffany Stratton (c) vs Charlotte Flair – WWE Women’s Championship Match

On the 02/14 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton defended her title in a rematch against Nia Jax. While Stratton retained the title it wasn’t via the traditional way as she was attacked by Jax’s friend Candice LeRae, which caused the disqualification.

Jax and LeRae then started battering the champion who received some aid in the form of Trish Stratus but the numbers game took over as Jax continued the beatdown landing the annihilator.

As Jax and LeRae exited the ring, the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble winner, Charlotte Flair, stepped into the ring, picking up the steel chair and sitting down right in front of Stratton, who was still dazed from the earlier punishment. Flair picked up the mic and calmly asked Tiffany to wake up.

Flair then announced that she had chosen the WWE Women’s Champion and declared that she would see Stratton at WrestleMania 41 in April. “The Queen chooses you! I’ll see you at WrestleMania,” she proclaimed.

Cody Rhodes (c) vs John Cena – Undisputed WWE Championship match

After failing to win the Royal Rumble match, John Cena announced his entry into the 2025 men’s Elimination Chamber match. Cena battled CM Punk, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest and Seth Rollins. The 16-time WWE World Champion triumphed over all as he locked in the STF on Punk in the final moments and bagged the win to punch his ticket to the WrestleMania PLE.

However, he did the unthinkable after the match when The Rock and Cody Rhodes appeared for the segment where Rock was awaiting Cody’s response. While Cody refused to sell his soul to The Rock and Cena for the first time in his long illustrious career, he turned heel and aligned with The Rock.

Cena put a beating on Rhodes battering him with brass knuckles as well as the Undisputed title, leaving the champion bloodied. The two stars will not battle for the Undisputed title at the grandest stage.

Iyo Sky (c) vs Bianca Belair vs Rhea Ripley – Triple-threat match for the Women’s World Championship

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky renewed their storied rivalry in the main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw in Buffalo to determine who would advance to WrestleMania 41 to defend the women’s world championship against Bianca Belair, who secured her spot by winning the Elimination Chamber match this past weekend in Toronto. Ripley has never defeated Sky in a one-on-one encounter before tonight.

She still hasn’t. The two had a fantastic back-and-forth struggle, with Belair watching from ringside. Toward the conclusion, it looked like Ripley had the advantage and would be cruising to the year’s biggest show to defend her crown.

After weeks of back and forth and a title rematch between Sky and Ripley with Bianca Belair, as special guest referee ended in a double DQ and a brawl, General Manager Adam Pearce addressed the issue on the 04/07 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Pearce announced a triple threat match between Sky, Belair and Ripley for the grandest stage with the World title up for grands.

Randy Orton vs Kevin Owens (Cancelled)

After making his return at the Elimination Chamber PLE, Randy Orton went right after Kevin Owens who was saved by the security and officials before getting punted. Since then, Orton was looking for Owens who made an appearance on the 03/21 episode of SmackDown and tried to hash the beef, floating the idea of a tag team between the two but Orton turned down the offer and floated the idea of a clash between the two at Mania.

The two former friends will now battle at the grandest stage in April as Orton looks to return the favor and bring out the ruthlessness again.

*This match has been called off due to Kevin Owens’ serious neck injury, he will undergo surgery and therefore will be out of action indefinitely.*

Roman Reigns vs CM Punk vs Seth Rollins

The much-anticipated Triple Threat match between Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk has been officially announced for WrestleMania 41, driving fans into a frenzy. The rivalry began during the Royal Rumble, and after weeks of heated battles, WWE has now confirmed it officially. Recently on SmackDown, all three superstars got into a brawl, causing complete havoc in the ring.

The feud between Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk erupted at this year’s Royal Rumble, when Punk defeated both Rollins and Reigns. Logan Paul quickly took advantage of the situation and eliminated Punk. With all three megastars out of the ring, emotions flared into an all-out battle. Rollins startled the fans as he performed a devastating Curb Stomp on Reigns on the steel steps. Rollins and Punk then turned on one other, fuelling the storyline that culminated to the much-anticipated triple threat match.

In the most recent episode of SmackDown (03/21/2025), Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and CM Punk joined the ring for a heated promo sequence. The exchange began with fierce verbal barbs, with Punk, as predicted, producing an outstanding performance on the microphone. However, things swiftly erupted into a wild battle when Punk confronted ‘Tribal Chief ‘OTC’ Roman Reigns.

The argument erupted as Punk accused Rollins and Reigns of never defeating him without each other’s assistance. He reminded Reigns that he wouldn’t have gotten it to the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble if Punk hadn’t helped him and his family in the 2024 Men’s WarGames Match. Punk also mentioned the favor Paul Heyman owes him before blinding Reigns with a microphone blast. As the two battled, Rollins intervened, turning the segment into a triple-threat confrontation.

AJ Styles vs Logan Paul

Following their heated exchange on the 03/31 episode of Monday Night Raw, Logan Paul tried to land a cheap shot at AJ Styles who fired back and battered Paul. However, Paul managed to retaliate and ended the segment on top as he took out Styles and flatlined him with the Pulverizer.

Following the segment, General Manager Adam Pearce via WWE social media handles made the match between Paul and Styles official for the WrestleMania PLE in Las Vegas. The two stars will not settle their differences inside the Allegiant Stadium.

Jade Cargill vs Noami

Jade Cargill and Naomi are set to settle their difference inside the squared ring in a singles match on the 41st edition of the Mania PLE. The match was announced on the 04/04 episode of Friday Night SmackDown by General Manager Nick Aldis as the two stars have been unable to keep their hand off of each other’s neck.

The clash between Jade Cargill and Naomi will officially mark the first non-title women’s singles match at the grandest stage since 2006. It will also be the first non-title women’s singles match in the event’s history with no stipulations attached.

LA Knight (c) vs Jacob Fatu – United States Championship match

On the 04/04 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Jacob Fatu and Braun Strowman battled in a last-man-standing match where the winner was set to receive a shot at the United States Championship. Fatu stood tall after a gruesome battle with Strowman and captured the number one contender spot.

Fatu is now set to battle the United States Champion LA Knight at the grandest stage as he looks to bring the title to his family.

Bron Breakker (c) vs Penta vs Finn Bálor vs Dominik Mysterio – Intercontinental Championship match

Ahead of 04/07 Monday Night Raw, General Manager Adam Pearce via WrestleMania’s official handle on X announced the fatal four-way match where Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker will defend his title against Penta, Finn Bálor and Dominik Mysterio.

The promotion has been teasing the match, and with tensions rising between the four stars, it’s now officially set. Two Judgment Day members will face off, as Penta aims to capture his first title, while Breakker looks to extend his reign.

Rey Mysterio vs El Grande Americano

After two back-to-back losses for LWO at the hands of El Grande Americano, Rey Mysterio is out for revenge, especially after the second loss on the 04/07 episode of Raw where Americano used a metal piece provided by Ivy Nile ringside to headbutt Mysterio who was ringside during the match and then use it to win.

Mysterio personally asked General Manager Adam Pearce for this match after the blatant cheating and the GM obliged making the clash between the two official for the WrestleMania 41 PLE.

Drew McIntyre vs Damian Priest – Sin City Street Fight

Ahead of their face-off on the 04/11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis made the official announcement via social media that Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest will settle their score at the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’.

There is a lot of bad blood between the two which reached a boiling point following their interactions in the men’s Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber PLE, in both those instances Priest eliminated Drew, reigniting the old wound from last year’s WrestleMania.

During the April 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, it was revealed that the clash between Priest and McIntyre will now be a ‘Sin City Street Fight’.

Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez (c) vs Bayley & Lyra Valkyria – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match

The team of Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria and Bayley triumphed over the five teams to win the Women’s Gauntlet match on the April 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

They will now battle the Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team title at the grandest stage on Sunday, April 19.

The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) (c) vs the New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) – WWE World Tag Team Championship match

General Manager Adam Pearce via X also announced that The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) will defend the WWE World Tag Team title against the New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) on Saturday, April 19 at the night one of the WrestleMania 41 PLE.
