LA Knight is the current WWE United States Champion!
After multiple attempts at recapturing the title, LA Knight managed to defeat Shinsuke Nakamura and recapture the United States title on the March 7 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. While his earlier attempts in a rematch failed due to outside interference or disqualification, Knight managed to pin Nakamura despite his dirty tactics.
However, as the WrestleMania 41 PLE inches closer, there are multiple challengers that want to battle Knight for the US title. Here we take a look at the three such stars who might challenge Knight for the title at the grandest stage in Las Vegas.
3. Braun Strowman
While Knight defended his title against Braun Strowman on the March 28 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The match ended unceremoniously as Jacob Fatu ambushed both stars and decimated Strowman with back-to-back moonsaults. Strowman might challenge Knight for the title at the grandest stage as he has stated his intentions of holding the US title.

2. Shinsuke Nakamura
A rematch at the grandest stage is not a bad idea especially when the two stars have deep animosity. Nakamura might restart ambushing Knight similar to what he did after his return ahead of the Survivor Series 2024 PLE and force him to accept a rematch at the grandest stage in Las Vegas. This would also be a golden opportunity for Nakamura to resume his momentum which began after winning the title in November 2024.
1. Jacob Fatu
There are very few heels that the WWE fans prefer over faces in the company and such is the case with Jacob Fatu who the crowd cheers for while he is brutalizing opponents or just ambushing fellow stars. Fatu lost his opportunity to become the number one contender in a match against Braun Strowman as Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga ambushed Strowman causing the referee to disqualify Fatu.
While his dreams were shattered, Fatu came back hard and as mentioned ambushed both Strowman and Knight in the title match on the last week’s episode. Fatu also made it clear to Sikoa and Tonga that he wants to bring the US title to the family with or without their help.
