Three potential storylines for Chelsea Green heading into WWE WrestleMania 41

The inaugural Women’s United States Champion may face tough competition in Las Vegas!

The longest reigning Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green has been fending off challengers and naysayers since capturing the title on the 14 December 2024 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. With Alba Fyre joining the Chelsea Green Cabinet, it seems unlikely the US Champion will face any serious threat.

However, we have multiple dominant title reigns that have been challenged and champions dethroned, this might also be the case for the longest reigning Women’s United States Champion as the WrestleMania 41 PLE inches closer.

Here we take a look at three such potential storylines for Green heading into WrestleMania 41 PLE, three potential challengers who might contest Green’s reign at the grandest stage.

3. Alexa Bliss

Former multi-time WWE Women’s World Champion Alexa Bliss recently made her return at the Royal Rumble 2025 PLE and while she was unable to capitalize on her return and punch her ticket to WrestleMania, Bliss might choose to challenge Green for the title at the grandest stage in April.

Alexa has been one of the top stars in the women’s division for a long time and a title clash at the Mania PLE against Green would be an amazing addition to the already stacked card. It would also provide a great opportunity for Chelsea to prove her worth.

2. Zelina Vega

Zelina Vega had to bid farewell to her stable LWO (Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee,  Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) as she was moved to SmackDown from Raw. However, Vega used this opportunity to explore new storylines and feuds with the Blue brand’s women’s roster.

Vega on multiple occasions has teased battling Green for the title and while her attempt to defeat Piper Niven in order to challenge the Champion failed recently, Zelina will likely bounce back and a title clash at Mania between the two is not a thing fans would complain about.

1. Michin

One of the best storylines for Green ahead of Mania is undoubtedly Michin as she was the one who Chelsea defeated to win the inaugural title and since then the two stars have battled multiple times with either Green picking up the win somehow or retaining her title via DQ as Piper Niven refuses to stay away from interfering.

The two stars are already locked in a fierce feud and with a storyline filled with animosity a WrestleMania 41 showdown might just what be the best thing for fans regarding a Women’s US title clash. Michin and Green also know each other very well and would definitely deliver as promised at the grandest stage.
