Former WWE World Champion and the New Day Member, Big E suffered a broken neck in a match between Brawling Brutes and New Day in March last year. Where Ridge Holland of Brawling Brutes tried a suplex on Big E outside the ring, which landed on his neck.

Big E was carried in a stretcher after the match and was admitted for medical observation. He later announced on social media to his fans, that he is suffering with fractures to his C1 vertebrae and C6 vertebrae and there is no issue on the ligament or spinal cord.

During the time of his absence, he was spotted backstage doing promotions for the events, products and to work on tryouts for college athletes. At the SummerSlam 2023 Media event, Big E revealed that he had been advised by the doctors not to wrestle. Now his New Day team mate gave an important update on him.

“Big E is 100% feeling wise”

Kofi Kingston recently was interviewed by Toronto Sun, where Kofi revealed that Big E is 100% fine and he’s living everyday life and lifting weights.

Kofi says,

"I'm so happy that he's doing so well, physically and mentally, because I can only imagine what an injury like that, as severe as the one that he suffered to his neck, he fractured his C1 and his C6 in a couple of places and to not have surgery, there was no misalignment, he really is almost back to 100%, feeling-wise.”

“He's able to live everyday life and he's able to lift weights, which is a big part of his life, too. It could have been a lot worse. I'm just happy that he is able to live his life with a level of happiness and health.”

“He can go out there and make you afraid of him, obviously with his physique and demeanor, but then he can also go out there and make you laugh, put a smile on your face, entertain you,"
