List of all NXT North American Champions in WWE history

The Championship was introduced in 2018.
The NXT North American Championship is one of the secondary men’s championships, which is created and promoted by WWE’s developmental brand NXT. The title is exclusive to the NXT brand and has been active since April 2018. WWE Executive and NXT head Triple H introduced the title.
In January 2022, the title was unified with the NXT Cruiserweight Championship and the Cruiserweight title was retired. Here we take a look at all the NXT North American Champions in the history of WWE.
NXT North American Championship Legacy
NXT North American Championship has witnessed a total of 22 reigns and has changed hands among 18 different champions and seen two vacancies. Adam Cole is the inaugural NXT North American Champion. Johnny Gargano has the most title reigns with three.
Wes Lee had the longest single reign with 269 days and Carmelo Hayes has the longest combined reign with 273 days on his two reigns. Trick Williams has the shortest title reign with three days. Velveteen Dream is the youngest champion (23) and Damian Priest is the oldest champion (37).
Current NXT North American Champion
Oba Femi is the current NXT North American Champion. He won the title by cashing-in his Breakout Tournament contract on Dragon Lee on the January 9, 2024 episode of NXT. Femi is currently in his first reign and has been holding the title for more than 141 days.
