Top four dream opponents for CM Punk on WWE Raw if he signs with Adam Pearce
CM Punk will announce his decision on Raw to which brand he would stay until the next WWE draft. Punk is in demand, where all three brand General Managers are negotiating with him to sign him to their brands. It is rumoured that Punk could sign with the RAW brand, if he chooses the same, here are four dream opponents for him in the red brand.
4. CM Punk vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Shinsuke Nakamura used a lot of references to CM Punk prior to his return by claiming himself as a Puppet Master and manipulator, referencing his theme lyrics and using Punk’s finisher GTS. At one point it was believed that Shinsuke Nakamura was calling out CM Punk for a match at Survivor Series. However, he revealed that Cody Rhodes was the one. It could still be a great contest if Punk and Nakamura could square off stating who the real puppet master is.
3. CM Punk vs Dominik Mysterio
Remember when CM Punk started a heel faction ‘Straight Edge Society’, where he messed up with the Mysterio family. Dominik was quite a little boy then and things are totally contrary now, as Punk being the people’s favourite and Dominik is a greater heel. The long-time storytelling could make a great storyline where a villain turned hero and a hero turned villain.
2. CM Punk vs Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes and CM Punk have a long history together. They have fought teaming up and against each other, however they never had a match in over a decade. They could literally develop a storyline of who finishes their storylines first with the same aim of becoming the World Champion at WrestleMania 40. If both cause each other’s winning opportunity at Royal Rumble, it would absolutely turn into a greater feud as one could become a nightmare or a monkey wrench for another, leading into a perfect dream match.
1. CM Punk vs Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins is the one who abruptly hates CM Punk being back in WWE. He has been showing his hatred since day one of his return and verbally damages him wherever he hears his name. The backstage reports confirm that Punk vs Rollins is on the making for WrestleMania 40. This could be a great contest between the two as both share similarities of tearing their flesh and breaking their bones inside the ring either through the mic or through the fist. The dream match at a dream show could actually happen very soon, making it a dream come true match.
