Sasha Banks (Mercedes Mone) no longer in negotiation with WWE over return: Report
Sasha Banks is one of the four Horsewomen of WWE, who played a major role in the Women’s revolution of the company. She is one of the go to stars who set and broke multiple records for the company during her first run. Banks however left WWE in 2022 following disagreements with the company, vacating the tag team titles with Naomi. Banks was indefinitely suspended and released from the company.
After which she went touring Japan and having a great run in the Japanese promotions. Since becoming a free agent, there have been a lot of talks about her return to WWE and AEW debut. As AEW talks were called off her WWE return status has now been revealed.
Sasha Banks’s WWE return status
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Moné and WWE were in conversations ABOUT possibly bringing her back to the company. However, the talks didn’t work out and they fell apart.
Sean Ross Sapp report says,
“Top free agent Mercedes Mone aka Sasha Banks and WWE had been engaged in conversations to possibly bring her back to the company. However, WWE sources stated to Fightful Friday night that the two sides are no longer in active negotiations regarding a return. The two sides had recently been engaged in conversations about a return. We’re told the dialogue was friendly, the back and forth failed to progress, and WWE sources claim that their side walked as a result of it.”
It is also notable that another source within the company believes that she would be appearing on other promotions such as AEW, NJPW or TNA.
“Another source within the company believed that she would end up appearing elsewhere imminently, but didn’t state where. AEW has their Worlds End Show Satur or day, NJPW has Wrestle Kingdom next week, and TNA Wrestling is rebranding for Hard to Kill in two weeks.”
Similarly WWE sources previously reported that the discussions with CM Punk had ended, however he returned to the company at Survivor Series. Could we be able to see Banks back in WWE again? Comment your thoughts.
