Will Roman Reigns have a long break from WWE after WrestleMania 40?

Roman Reigns returned to WWE after a long hiatus in 2020 and has been having a career redefining run with an undefeated Universal Championship reign. On this run, Reigns became the greater heel, developed his own heel faction with his cousins “The Bloodline”, aligned with Paul Heyman and had a historical reign. However he might leave the company for a long time after WrestleMania 40.
Roman Reigns WWE status after WrestleMania 40
On Wrestling with Freddie, Prinze Jr. predicted that Roman Reigns will be leaving WWE after losing his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania 40 and went on to pursue his career in Hollywood.
“I think Royal Rumble is, as they say, it begins the road to WrestleMania. The match is Cody-Roman, part two. And this time, he gets over because The Bloodline won’t be at full strength, and I think he’ll finally get over. Then Roman will go [to] Hollywood and make movies. I don’t know.”
Xero News after SummerSlam 2023 reported that Roman Reigns planned to take a long break from professional wrestling after WrestleMania 40 and would be playing a big role in a movie.
“Roman will stop being a full-time performer after mania. It’s possible Backlash will be his last match for 2024. Roman is signed to a talent agency and has a big movie role next year.”
To strengthen the rumors and reports, Reigns was not advertised for the 2024 Backlash premium live event, which is the next ppv after WrestleMania 40. However, Reigns was not a part of the 2023 Backlash too and has not featured in a number of pay-per-views this year. Therefore Roman Reigns’ hiatus may not be confirmed, until an official statement is made.
Roman Reigns will be having his next singles match at WWE Royal Rumble 2024.
