The year 2023 has been one of the most remarkable years for WWE. The company had a lot of changes this year and worked out well. WWE produced some of the best weekly shows and pay-per-views throughout the year. The pay-per-views are action filled showcasing great matches, breaking multiple records in the viewership, ticket sales and box office collections. Here we rank the top 10 WWE pay-per-views of 2023.

10. Backlash

The 2023 WWE Backlash PPV stands 10th in our list with some of the great matches. A total of seven matches was featured in the event, where the San Juan Street Fight between Bad Bunny vs Damian Priest and Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes was the highlight matches. It is a namesake pay-per-view, however it broke the all time viewership record of the Backlash PPV’s of all time.

9. Elimination Chamber

The 2023 Elimination Chamber stands fourth in our list. The PPV showcased a total of five matches, however the Men’s Elimination Chamber match for the U.S. Title and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn had a great reception from the WWE fans. The storyline between The Bloodline and Sami Zayn played a major role in the success of this PPV.

8. Payback 2023

The 2023 Payback stands eighth in our list. John Cena hosted this year’s Payback and it had dramatical matches throughout the show. The Steel Cage match between Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch, Steel City Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship between Sami Zayn & Kevin Oven vs Damian Priest & Finn Balor, The World Heavyweight Championship match between Shinsuke Nakamura & Seth Rollins, Jey Uso’s return were the talking points of the show.

7. Night of Champions

The 2023 Night of Champions stands seventh in our list. The PPV featured a total of seven matches, where Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles for the inaugural World Heavyweight Championship, Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes II, and Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa were the highlights of the show. Jimmy Uso turning on Roman Reigns, Owens and Zayn retaining the tag team championship and Seth Rollins winning the World Championship received a massive crowd reaction.

The 2023 Fastlane stands sixth in our list. Randy Orton and CM Punk’s return, hard fighting WarGames Matches were the talking points of the show and the goosebumps haven’t settled yet.

1. WrestleMania 39

The show of shows, WrestleMania 39 is the best pay-per-view of 2023. The grandest two night events are filled with a lot of power packed matchups. A total of 15 matches were featured in the show in total, where almost all the matches were on a different level.

Dom vs Rey (father vs son), Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, Gunther vs Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship, Edge vs The Demon Finn Balor, Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship were the highlights of the show.
