Here is the complete match summary, results and winners of the WWE SummerSlam 2023.

Match Summary

Logan Paul vs Ricochet

Logan Paul and Ricochet match kicked off the SummerSlam 2023, as Logan requested to the WWE Management. Logan had the initial control of the match, but Ricochet counters with a pure showcase of athleticism. Logan hit Ricochet with Boxing Punches, Running PowerSlam (teasing Braun Strowman), Leg Drop (teasing Hulk Hogan). Ricochet hit Logan with a 630 splash, Starshooter, Santon, and many. When both Ricochet and Logan were down, an anonymous man gave Logan a Knuckle brace, where he used it to knockout Ricochet for a win.

Winner: Logan Paul Ratings: 4/5

Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes

Brock Lesnar took the initial control and almost maintained the control most of the time. Cody countered with two Disaster Kicks, where Brock went for 10 straight Suplexes and tried to win via countout. Brock delivered two F5 on Cody, one outside the ring and other on the commentary desk. Cody took control after exposing Lesnar to the naked turnbuckle, 2 Cody Cutter. Lesnar broke Cody’s arm with the “Kimura”, Cody escapes and counters with the Kimura to Lesnar.

Cody then went for three Cross Rhodes and won the match. After the match, they shook hands and showcased respect to end the feud.

Winner: Cody Rhodes Ratings: 4.5/5

Slim Jim SummerSlam Battle Royal

Slim Jim SummerSlam Battle Royal started with 24 Men, and MVP after the bell introduced Omos to the match. Omos eliminated Apollo Crews, JD McDonaugh, and Rick Boogs started the match. Everyone went eliminating each other. At the end, AJ Styles, Sheamus and LA Knight were the final three. Kros who got eliminated by AJ Styles dragged Styles’ leg, where Sheamus hit Styles with a Brogue Kick to eliminate him. LA Knight then hit Sheamus with an Elbow, Over body throw, a BFT and clothesline to win the Slim Jim SummerSlam Battle Royal.

Winner: LA Knight Ratings: 4/5

MMA Rules Match

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler went for grapples and exchange shots. Shayna had the control with a roundhouse kick. Rousey injured Shayna’s arm and medical team urged, but Rousey sent them away. Shayna locked Rousey with a Rear Neck Choke to win via Technical Knock Out (TKO).

Winner: Shayna Baszler Ratings: 2/5

Intercontinental Championship

Gunther defended his Intercontinental Championship against Drew McIntyre. Both delivered a series of chops on each other, where Gunther’s chops at the beginning were brutal. Drew delivered a Glascow kiss, Future shock DDT to control Gunther, however Gunther turned things up with a drop kick and Top Rope Body Press on Drew. McIntyre tried for the Claymore multiple times but failed, where Gunther escaped with a counter attack. McIntyre hit Gunther with a Powerbomb, but Gunther survived the pinfall. When both wen on the top rope, McIntyre landed his groin on the ropes, where Gunther used the opportunity by delivering chops, clothesline and Powerbomb and retained his championship.

Winner: Gunther Ratings: 4.5/5

World Heavyweight Championship

Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor. Where Balor and Rollins teased their Universal Championship Match 7 years ago. Balor had the control of the match for a major period of time. Balor targeted Rollins’ arm, where Rollins made Balor’s mouth busted open. When Seth about to take the control of the match, Damien Priest marched his way to the ring with his MITB Briefcase. He hit a right hand on Rollins while Ref. was distracted by Rhea and Dom. Balor delivered a pedigree, but Seth kicked out. Balor got distracted by Priest and his briefcase, where Priest gave the briefcase to help Balor hit Rollins and went to distract the ref. But Rollins delivered a stomp on Balor over the briefcase to retain his championship.

Winner: Seth Rollins Ratings: 3.5/5

WWE Women’s Championship

Triple Threat Match between Asuka, Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women’s Championship. The match started in a pretty slow phase, where all the three exchange shots and went in and out of the ring one by one. However, Charlotte Flair dominated the mid-match by sending both Asuka and Bianca Belair with Natural Selection and a couple of Moon Sault. Belair then controlled the match by her athleticism and Moon Sault, when Belair tried to attack Charlotte on the corner, she throw her out landing Belair’s knee to the steel stairs and was taken out by the Medical team. Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair locked Asuka with a Figure 4 and converted it to a Figure 8. Belair with an injured leg, managed to reach the ring and delivered a 450 Splash on Charlotte’s bridge. When measuring for KOD to Charlotte, she countered and locked the “Figure 8” to Bianca’s injured leg. Asuka spayed the Mist into Charlotte’s eyes, where Belair rolled Asuka to win the WWE Women’s Championship.

Winner: Bianca Belair Ratings: 5/5

Money In The Bank Cash In

After Bianca Belair winning the WWE Women’s Championship with the broken leg, IYO SKY entrance theme hits, Bayley with the Money in the Bank Briefcase cleared the house by attacking Charlotte Flair and Asuka, paving way for a easy cash-in for IYO SKY. Bianca Belair got distracted by Bayley, where IYO SKY took the briefcase and had a blow on the injured leg of Belair. She cashed-in her Money in the Bank Contract, hit a Moon Sault from the Top Rope for the Win and become the New WWE Women’s Champion for the first time. IYO SKY and Bayley celebrated the victory with returning Dakota Kai.

Winner: IYO SKY Ratings: 5/5

Tribal Combat Match

Roman Reigns defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against his cousin Jey Uso. Roman Reigns took the initial control of the match, by bullying Jey Uso and WWE Universe. Jey took the control when weapons started coming into play, Jey sent Roman Reigns through the steel stairs and introduced a Table, where Paul Heyman pleaded Jey not to hurt Roman. Jey went for a suicide dive, but was countered by Roman with a Kendo stick, Roman blewed multiple shots on Jey’s back. Jey then had a chair shot on Roman’s back, sent Roman through the table by Samoan drop. Jey then had a leather strap and hit Roman’s back with hard shots. Roman retreated by moving to the audience area. Where Solo Sikoa attacked Jey and hit Spinning Solo on the table. He dragged Jey to the ring, where Solo and Roman tried to his Jey with a Somaon Spike and Spear combo, but Jey pull Solo in and spear went on him. Jey took the chance and hit Roman with the spear, but that wasn’t enough. Solo and Reigns had a crash talk as he hit Solo with a spear. Jey speared Roman through the barricade and hit Solo with a splash. Jey speared Roman and delivered a Uso Splash for the cover. Where Jimmy returned and cost Jey’s victory. He turned on his twin and delivered a superkick, where Roman hit Jey with a spear through the table and secured the win.

Winner: Roman Reigns Ratings: 4.5/5

Results

Logan Paul (W) defeated Ricochet with a punch to the face with Knuckle Braces.

Cody Rhodes (W) defeated Brock Lesnar with Cross Rhodes x3.

LA Knight (W) won by eliminating Sheamus as a last elimination.

Shayna Baszler (W) won by Technical Knock Out (TKO).

Gunther (W) won to retain his Intercontinental Championship.

Seth Rollins (W) won to retain his World Heavyweight Championship.

Bianca Belair (W) won the WWE Women’s Championship.

IYO SKY (W) won the WWE Women’s Championship by Cashing-in the Money in the Bank.

Roman Reigns (W) won the Tribal Combat and retained his “Tribal Chief” status and Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
