WWE: Bayley looks forward to “one more match” with Sasha Banks (Mercedes Moné)

Bayley is one of the most successful professional wrestlers in the modern era. She is one of the four horse women, who played a major role in the women’s revolution. Bayley’s contribution to the women’s division is something that is incomparable. She is the first-ever Women’s Grand Slam Champion of the company, who held all the championships in WWE. However, after her return in 2022, she is having a pretty average run with only few wins and is involved full-time with Damage CTRL business.

The Role model herself recently appeared for an interview with Sports Illustrated and discussed a number of topics including winning the Royal Rumble, how important is 2024 to her wrestling career, a potential match with Sasha Banks and more.

Winning the Royal Rumble

Bayley was asked if she would be able to win the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble? To which she replied that “Only a few people believe it will happen. But everyone will believe it soon.”

How important is 2024

She then continued to speak about the importance of this year to her pro-wrestling career and strongly believes that this year defines her whole career.

“I’m very proud of my body of work. I’ve done things I never thought I’d be able to do. And once you accomplish a goal, it adds another. In my opinion, there is still a lot left to get done and I have to make sure it gets done. This year is going to be the one that defines my career. It will define who I am and what I’ve brought to the wrestling industry.”

Bayley vs Sasha Banks?

She was asked about Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) return, potential match with her and relationship with her. Bayley replied,

“We’ll always be destined for one more match. Our next match will never be our last. We’re ‘The Brooklyn Girls’. We’re going to live on forever because of that match, and it’s something we can carry on forever. I don’t have chemistry in the ring with anyone else like I do with her. No one teaches me like her. She’s my [Michael] Jordan.”
