Liv Morgan has been on a long hiatus from television after a legitimate Shoulder injury during her tag team match months ago. During her hiatus, she was arrested in Sumter County, Florida on a traffic stop for marijuana possession in a small packet, not more than 20 grams.

The arrest report stated that the Sumter County Deputy caught a small plastic bag containing marijuana and a vape tape that held an oil-like substance on Morgan’s car. Morgan was bonded out for $3000 USD and was released the next day. Now an important update on her has been released which could give her fans a good breath of relaxation.

Liv Morgan’s case dropped

PWInsider reported that the serious charge on Liv Morgan for possession of drugs was dropped and the remaining charge was carried to the county’s Misdemeanor Court Division. Her next arraignment is canceled and the status conference on February 20 will be held.

PWInsider reported that,

“On January 2nd 2024, the more serious charge against Morgan, possession of drugs, possibly synthetic cannabinoid, was dropped from the criminal case against her.

Her remaining charge, possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams) was transferred to the County’s Misdemeanor Court Division.

Her scheduled arraignment on February 12th at the Sumter County Courthouse has been canceled. Instead, there will be a status conference related to her remaining charge on February 20th

The charges of possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams) is a first degree misdemeanor in Florida. It can be punishable up to one year in jail or on probation, along with a $1,000 fine. Conviction of possession also results in a six month driving license suspension, random drug testing, and all the reimbursement of all fees related to the sentence.”

The reports also said that there are no issues between WWE Management and Liv Morgan regarding the arrest.

Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer has also confirmed the same,

“Regarding Liv Morgan and her arrest a few weeks back, she hired Jack Goldberger, one of the best criminal attorneys in Florida. The state dropped the synthetic marijuana charge which was the felony and transferred the marijuana case to a different division which hasn’t been listed yet. The belief at this point is most likely it will be a misdemeanor charge, and most first-time offenders with marijuana in Florida pay a fee of $100 and they’ll drop the charges without anything appearing on her record.”
