The January 2, 2024 episode of NXT is the New Year’s Evil special edition to kick start the year. This is the fourth annual New Year’s Evil edition of NXT produced by WWE, which will be aired live from Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida. WWE has booked a total of six matches for the show including two championship matches. Here is a detailed preview, prediction, timings and telecast details of this week’s episode of NXT.
WWE NXT New Year’s Evil (January 2, 2024): Match card and Predictions
LWO (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro) & ? vs No Quarter Catch Crew (Drew Gulak, Myles Borne & Damon Kemp)
On the December 19, 2023 episode of NXT, Dragon Lee successfully defended his NXT North American Championship against Joe Coffey & Charlie Dempsey of No Quarter Catch Crew. After the match, Lee was attacked by the No Quarter Catch Crew, where Joaquin Wilde and Cruze Del Toro of LWO came for the save of Lee.
As a result a Six Man Tag Team match was announced for New Year’s Evil. However Lee announced that he would miss the match due to visa and travel issues. Now LWO with a mystery member will go against NQCC. As per speculations, LWO would likely win the match and the third member of LWO would probably be Carlito.
Arianna Grace vs Roxanne Perez
After Arianna Grace mocked Roxanne Perez for losing to Kiana James, Perez slapped her. Which turned into a singles match at New Year’s Evil. As per speculations, Perez would most likely clinch the victory.
Ranch Hand or Servant Match- Fallon Henley vs Tiffany Stratton
The feud between Tiffany Stratton and Fallom Henley has been continuing since October. The match between Stratton and Henley was made official with a special stipulation. If Stratton wins the match, Henley must become her servant for a day. If Henley wins, Stratton must work at her ranch for a day. As per speculations, Tiffany will win the match and Henley will become her servant for a day.
NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament Finals- Riley Osborne vs Oba Femi
In the NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament Tournament, Riley Osborne and Oba Femi advanced to the finals by defeating Lexis King and Tavion Heights in the semi finals. They will have the final match at New Year’s Evil. As per speculations, Oba Femi will win the tournament, as he seems to be more dominant and aggressive.
NXT Women’s Championship Match- Lyra Valkyria (C) vs Blair Davenport
Lyra Valkyria will be defending her NXT Women’s Championship against the Women’s Iron Survivor, Blair Davenport in a singles match. As per speculations, Lyra Valkyria will likely retain her championship.
NXT Championship Match- Ilja Dragunov (C) vs Trick Williams
Ilja Dragunov will be defending her NXT Championship against the men’s Iron Survivor, Trick Williams in a singles match. As per speculations, Ilja Dragunov will be retaining his title and Carmelo Hayes will turn on Trick Williams during or after the match.
