The January 1, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw is the New Year special WWE Raw Day 1 episode. The Raw Day 1 will be aired live from the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California, United States. This is the first WWE show to kick off the 2024 and the New Year’s Knockout week. WWE has booked a number of exciting matches and segments for the upcoming episode of Raw with three major championship matches. Here is a detailed preview, prediction, timings and telecast details of this week’s episode of Raw.

WWE Raw Day 1 (January 1, 2023): Match card and Predictions

World Heavyweight Championship Match- Seth Rollins (C) vs Drew McIntyre

Seth Rollins will be defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre at the main event of the show. This is the biggest opportunity for Drew to turn things right from the beginning of the year. As we know, Drew is entering the match with an aim to become the world champion in front of the WWE Universe. Last time when McIntyre became the world champion, it was in an empty arena. On the other hand, Rollins will be entering the match to end the McIntyre problem and retain the championship title.

As per speculations, Seth Rollins will be retaining his World title, and there are a lot of chances for a possible cash-in from Damian Priest, which could end up in vien.

Women’s World Championship Match- Rhea Ripley (C) vs Ivy Nile

Rhea Ripley after a face off with Ivy Nile after her match against Maxxine Dupree  she announced backstage that she will be defending her championship against the newbie Ivy Nile at Raw Day 1. This is the first singles match of Ivy Nile in the main roster and is the first major title shot. On the other hand Ripley has never been defeated since being the Women’s World Champion.

As per speculations, Rhea Ripley will successfully retain her Women’s World Championship title.

Becky Lynch vs Nia Jax

Becky Lynch and Nia Jax re-ignited the four year old story of breaking Becky’s nose. The back to back arguments and face off could finally settle as both will be going one-on-one this week on Raw.

As per speculations, Becky Lynch would likely win the match and prove, why he is the greatest female wrestler of this generation.

#1 Contender’s Tag Team Match- Tegan Nox & Natalya vs Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark

Kayden Carter and Katana Chance won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. While they celebrate the win backstage, Natalya, Nox, Baszler, and Stark had a plan of being the new contenders for the new champions and eventually challenged each other. They will battle this week to determine the #1 Contender for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

As per speculations, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark defeat Natalya and Tegan Nox and will become the #1 Contender for the Tag Titles.
