Cody Rhodes to feature at March 1st episode of WWE SmackDown: Reports

Cody Rhodes is one of the top baby faces of WWE in the active roster. He is in the pursuit to finish his story by winning the World Championship. Last year he won the Rumble match and went on to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, but wasn’t successful. Cody however came back stronger and won the Rumble match back to back this year to regain his spot.

He initially teased of sacrificing his spot at WrestleMania 40 for The Rock, but claimed his spot at the WrestleMania 40 Kick Off show. The Event witnessed a big twist, where The People Champ turned on Cody, by slapping him right on the face and joined with Roman Reigns in The Bloodline. Cody Rhodes then made a promise that he would strike back on Rock and challenged him for a match before his match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

Since then, there were a lot of talks online about when they could see Cody Rhodes and The Rock in the same ring again. However a recent report reveals that we are nearing that.

Cody Rhodes in SmackDown this Friday

According to PWInsider’s report, Cody Rhodes is scheduled to appear on this week’s (March 1, 2023) episode of SmackDown in Glendale, Arizona. Where The Rock & Roman Reigns’ SmackDown appearance has already been scheduled. The Rock is expected to answer Cody Rhodes challenge this week. However the report potentially drops spoilers that they could possibly have a confrontation or a heated segment together teasing a match.

Earlier this week on Raw, The Wise Man, Paul Heyman asked Cody to withdraw his challenge to The Rock. Heyman tried to threaten Cody by coming up with three of his friends, but Cody took all the three out with a steel chair. He then went on to send a message to Rock & Roman stating that he will hunt the Bloodline and challenged them to get him. Heyman then called Roman and Rock via phone.
