WWE had a great 2023 year, where the storylines were on the top of the game and pay-per-views were sold out featuring some of the great bookings. With the aim to break all the previous records and make the 2024 year memorable, WWE kicked off the year stronger than ever with the special edition of weekly programs.

It had a huge impact on the fans and it built a great anticipation for what WWE has for this year, however within a few days there were a number of negative things surrounding the company that declined fans’ interest. Here we look at four mistakes that WWE made in 2024 already.

4. The Bloodline seems weak

The Bloodline ran WWE for three long years and delivered some of the great storylines and rivalries. It is one of the toughest villainous factions of the company, however it has felt weak since the beginning of this year. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa have been getting beaten up week after week and they haven’t clinched a single win this year (so far). Roman Reigns on the other hand showed up only on rare occasions and still got dominated by his opponents.

3. Lack of storylines

Other than the existing top-car feuds, the mid-card and lower card feuds are not given enough attention by the company. This makes a lot of wrestlers stumble directionless on the road to WrestleMania. Even some of the top stars such as Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Gunther, Sami Zayn and many more haven’t been built with a feud yet and everything seems clumsy in the final 70 days before WrestleMania.

2. Average Men’s Royal Rumble

The Men’s Royal Rumble booking was so flat that it was not able to compete with the Women’s Rumble match. There aren’t any surprise elements inside the match that could hype up the match. The complete rumble match was dominated by the Raw brand with the feud surrounding Judgment Day and people involved around the faction. The winners and the final few wrestlers were easily predictable, which spoiled the complete aura of the match.

1. Rock & Roman Reigns Face-off

As everyone was waiting for Cody Rhodes to confront Roman Reigns face to face and challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40, The Rock vs Roman Reigns was teased and that made a huge disappointment among the fans. The fans showed a big hatred to the change and it became the most disliked segment in the company’s history.
