Roman Reigns is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of the modern era, who has been a part of some of the biggest moments of the show. He has been in the company for over a decade and has been a top star of the company throughout his journey. He is a nine-time champion in WWE with six world championship wins. He is the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, with a monumental reign of 1265+ days (4th longest reign).

Roman is known for his big matches and is one of the constant main eventers of the show of shows, WrestleMania. Roman Reigns has wrestled a total of ten WrestleMatches and main-evented seven. He is about to main event this year’s WrestleMania as well. We are just days away from Roman Reigns’ main eventing yet another WrestleMania, here we take a look at his top five best WrestleMania matches. 

5. Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar [WrestleMania 38]

At WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar fought in the main event in the Winner’s Takes All match for the WWE Championship & Universal Championship. It was a dramatic match, where both exchanged their finishers and signature maneuvers throughout the match and made the momentum swing on both the sides.

In the final moments of the match, Referee got knocked out, Roman delivered a low blow, Paul Heyman helped Roman counter Kimura and Roman hit the fourth spear to retain the Universal Championship and win the WWE Championship. The match was considered one of the most dramatic matches of the show.

4. The Shield vs Big Show, Randy Orton & Sheamus [WrestleMania 29]

At WrestleMania 29, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose of The Shield faced Big Show, Randy Orton & Sheamus in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. This is the WrestleMania debut of Roman Reigns & The Shield. During the final moments of the match Sheamus tried to tag Big Show, but Orton took the tag, which pissed off the World Largest Athlete.

The Shield went for a three on two assault on Randy Orton and Roman speared Orton for their debut WrestleMania win. After the match, Big Show knocked out both Sheamus & Orton. The match received a great reception with an average of 7 out of 10 ratings.

3. Roman Reigns vs Edge vs Daniel Bryan [WrestleMania 37]

At WrestleMania 37, Roman Reigns defended his WWE Universal Championship against Edge and Daniel Bryan in the main event. It was one of the greatest WrestleMania main events of recent times, where the momentum went swinging three sides.

During the final moment, Edge came so close to dethroning Roman, but Jey Uso attacked him to change the game. Reigns then made both his opponents unconscious and double pinned them to retain the title. The match received 4.5 out of 5 star ratings and was considered as one of the best matches on Night 2 of WrestleMania.

2. Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes [WrestleMania 39]

At WrestleMania 39, Roman Reigns defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes in the main event of the show. This is one of the close call matches and every moment of the match made the audience sit on the edge of the chairs. 

The match swung on both ends and the WWE Universe stood for Cody. The Bloodline, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn played a huge part in the match. During the final moment, when Cody Rhodes was about to win the match looking for the third Cross Rhodes in a row, Solo Sikoa Samoan Spiked Cody Rhodes & Roman speared him to retain the title. The match received 4.5 star ratings and it is considered as one of the best matches of that year.

1. Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins [WrestleMania 31]

Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns was the actual main event card built for WrestleMania 31. Brock Lesnar was the Universal Champion and Roman Reigns challenged him for the title after winning the 2015 Royal Rumble match. The match went swinging right from the beginning with a number of near-falls from either side.

However when both were draining out of energy, Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and made it a Triple Threat Match. During the final moments, Lesnar tried to F-5 Rollins, where Roman speared him, Rollins jumped from his shoulders and curb stomped on Roman to steal the win. The match received a great reception and was dubbed as “The Heist of the Century”. Although Roman Reigns lost the match, it was one of his best matches.
