Five active WWE Superstars left off SummerSlam 2026 card ft. Bron Breakker, The Miz & more

Multiple top names are left out of SummerSlam this year.
WWE will feature some of its biggest attractions at its next Premium Live Event, SummerSlam 2026. The two-night blockbuster event from Minneapolis, Minnesota, is expected to be a stellar hit for both nights.
At the same time, WWE has chosen to leave out multiple top names from the card. So, here are the top five WWE stars left out of SummerSlam this year:
5. Damian Priest
Damian Priest has been a regular fixture on WWE television shows for a long time now. Not only is also a former World Heavyweight Champion, winning the title at WrestleMania 40.
Despite his accomplishments and status, WWE chose to leave the former World Champion out of SummerSlam this year.

4. Sol Ruca
Sol Ruca started the year strong by being called up to the main roster and becoming the Women’s Intercontinental Champion by defeating a top name like Becky Lynch. However, she still failed to earn a spot at this year’s SummerSlam and suffered a setback a week before by dropping her title to Raquel Rodriguez on RAW.
3. The Miz
Former World Champion The Miz is one of the longest-tenured and most accomplished WWE veterans still on the active roster. However, he has had abysmal feuds in recent times and has failed to score a win in singles action since early 2024.
He has been known to help elevate talent; yet, WWE chose to leave the Awesome One out of SummerSlam in every capacity.
2. Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio is one of the legendary names on the current WWE roster. He is a Hall of Famer and a regular presence on Monday Night RAW.
At the same time, he is handling the reins of AAA as the General Manager. Despite his iconic status, the Master of the 619 will sit out of SummerSlam this year.
1. Bron Breakker
The Vision’s Bron Breakker was perceived to break out as a top in-ring performer in WWE earlier this year, even poised to win the men’s Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.
However, he suffered injury setbacks, missed out on competing at WrestleMania, and lost a high-profile feud with Seth Rollins. Currently, he is stuck in the tag team division and has failed to earn a spot on the 2026 edition of SummerSlam.
When and where will SummerSlam 2026 take place?
The 39th edition will air as a two-night spectacle on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Where can fans tune in to catch the action live?
Fans can catch all the action from 6 PM ET/3 PM PT (or 3:30 AM IST on Sunday, August 2, and Monday, August 3, respectively) on Netflix internationally (excluding select markets) and on the ESPN App in the United States.
