The former Divas Champions kicked off her second WWE run in 2025.
After over a decade of absence, former Divas Champion, AJ Lee, made her return to WWE in September 2025. She returned ahead of the inaugural Wrestlepalooza PLE to kick off the feud with Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins alongside her husband, CM Punk.
The feud led to a mixed-tag team match at the aforementioned PLE, after which Lee continued her feud with Lynch. While Lee hasn’t been as active in her second run, largely due to her schedule, she has still been warmly embraced by fans.
Lee’s WWE career began in 2009, with her first run in the company lasting until 2015. During that time, she amassed multiple accolades, including capturing the Divas Championship three times.
In her second run, her feud with Becky Lynch has resulted in Lee capturing the Women’s Intercontinental title, her first in modern WWE, and her second title in the promotion.

AJ Lee made her WrestleMania debut during the 30th edition in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she defended the Divas title in a multi-woman match. On the other hand, her second appearance came during the 31st edition, where she teamed up with Paige to take on the Bella Twins.
Notably, this was one of the final matches and marked her last PLE appearance with the company in her first WWE run. Since her return, Lee has partaken in multiple PLEs and will make her Mania return against Lynch at the 42nd edition in Las Vegas.
