Major changes in the WWE NXT title picture!
WWE NXT Heatwave 2026 delivered a major shake-up to the developmental brand’s championship landscape, with several titles changing hands during the August 30 event.
The show featured championship matches across the men’s and women’s divisions, including a high-stakes Fatal 4-Way for the WWE NXT Championship and title bouts for both North American championships.
With Heatwave now in the books, the NXT roster moves forward with a refreshed championship picture and several new champions ready to establish their reigns.
Grayson Waller becomes NXT Champion

Grayson Waller captured the NXT Championship at Heatwave, winning a Fatal 4-Way against Tony D’Angelo, Cruz Montana and Zilla Fatu.
The victory puts Waller at the top of the NXT singles division and gives him another major opportunity to establish himself as one of the brand’s leading stars.
The NXT Women’s Championship also changed hands, with Kelani Jordan defeating Kendal Grey to become the new champion. Meanwhile, Jackson Drake defeated Myles Borne to capture the NXT North American Championship.
Women’s North American title gets unified
Zaria remains the NXT Women’s North American Champion after successfully competing in a title unification match involving the WWE Women’s Speed Championship.
Zaria defeated Wren Sinclair and Kali Armstrong in the match, securing her position as champion while adding another significant achievement to her NXT résumé.
The tag team division also has new champions. The Vanity Project, consisting of Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes, defeated Myles Borne and Tavion Heights to win the NXT Tag Team Championship.
