Some big names made their WWE NXT debut

WWE NXT delivered one of its most eventful episodes in recent memory on April 28, 2026, as a wave of new talents arrived on the brand. With the roster recently thinned out due to multiple main roster call-ups and releases, the night felt like a deliberate reset.

Names such as Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Je’von Evans, Jordynne Grace, Joe Hendry, Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, Sol Ruca, Blake Monroe, Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid have all moved on, leaving clear gaps across the card.

WWE wasted no time addressing that void, introducing a mix of international stars, independent standouts, and Performance Center prospects to reshape the future of WWE NXT.

List of all WWE NXT debuts tonight (April 28, 2026)

  • EVIL
  • Will Kroos
  • Lizzy Rain
  • Tristan Angels
  • Kam Hendrix
  • Tate Wilder

EVIL

Perhaps the most shocking debut of the night came in the form of former NJPW star EVIL. Known for his dark persona and controversial in-ring style, EVIL brings instant credibility to the WWE NXT roster.

A former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, IWGP Tag Team Champion, NEVER Openweight Champion, and New Japan Cup winner, EVIL has already achieved what most wrestlers aspire to.

As the leader of House of Torture and a former Bullet Club figurehead, he shared company with elite names like Finn Balor, AJ Styles, and Kenny Omega.

While his NJPW run drew mixed reactions due to heavy interference tactics, that same chaotic energy could translate effectively into WWE’s storytelling environment.

Tristan Angels

Tristan Angels, branding himself as “Mr. England,” interrupted Myles Borne following his North American Championship win, marking his official arrival on NXT.

Formerly known as Nathan Angel, he signed with WWE as part of a European Performance Center class that included rising names like Elio LeFleur and Dorian Van Dux. His prior appearances in WWE Evolve and AAA provided a solid foundation.

Angels carries a confident persona that aligns well with his international background, making him a compelling addition to the mid-card scene.

Lizzy Rain

After weeks of anticipation through vignettes, Lizzy Rain finally made her in-ring debut at WWE NXT and delivered a victory over Nikkita Lyons.

Previously known as Rayne Leverkusen on the European independent circuit, Lizzy gained recognition as the MVP of WWE’s SummerSlam tryouts in New Jersey. Her transition to WWE NXT feels like a natural progression.

Her heavy metal-inspired gimmick, tied to her real-life connection as the niece of Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, gives her a distinct identity that stands out immediately.

Will Kroos

Will Kroos made an immediate impact, debuting under the guise of a “fan” before launching an attack on NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo alongside Tavion Heights.

The British star, known for his work in PROGRESS Wrestling, is a former Atlas Champion and has also competed in Pro Wrestling NOAH. His international experience gives him a polished edge rarely seen in new signings.

Kroos’ high-flying moonsault during his debut instantly showcased his athleticism, positioning him as a serious contender in the NXT landscape.

Tate Wilder

Tate Wilder made his presence felt by stepping in to assist EK Prosper and Sean Legacy after an attack by Birthright, positioning himself as a natural ally figure.

A product of WWE’s NIL program, Wilder (real name Case Hatch) has steadily climbed through the developmental system since signing in 2022. His prior dark match appearance against Jasper Troy hinted at his potential.

Having already competed in WWE Evolve and even secured a Bullrope match victory over Brooks Jensen, Wilder arrives in NXT with momentum and credibility.

Kam Hendrix

Kam Hendrix wasted no time making an impression, attacking Myles Borne during Tristan Angels’ confrontation and adding chaos to the segment.

Real name Anthony Luke, Hendrix has spent years developing within the WWE Performance Center and competed across all three seasons of WWE LFG. His in-ring growth has been closely monitored internally.

With experience leading Team PC on Evolve and a strong physical presence, Hendrix looks ready for a more prominent role on NXT television.

Who was the biggest name to debut on WWE NXT?

EVIL was the standout debut due to his international success and championship pedigree in NJPW.

How many debuts happened on this episode of NXT?

A total of six debuts took place: EVIL, Will Kroos, Lizzy Rain, Tristan Angels, Kam Hendrix, and Tate Wilder.
