All matches announced for WWE NXT Heatwave 2026 so far ft. Tony D'Angelo, Kendal Gray, Zaria & more

WWE NXT’s Heatwave will go head-to-head with AEW All In.

After SummerSlam, while there are no PLEs this month from WWE‘s main roster, the developmental brand will close out the month with an event with multiple high-stakes matches.

WWE will not only deliver the 2026 edition of NXT Heatwave on August 30 but will also deliver AAA’s  Ola de Calor event at the same venue, before Heatwave. 

The 12th edition of Heatwave emanates on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, from 3 PM ET/ 12 PM PT on the CW Network in the US and on Netflix internationally, excluding some markets.

The event will go head-to-head with AEW’s All In, which will emanate from Wembley Stadium in London, England. Notably, All In will begin at 1 PM ET. The promotion has announced multiple matches for the PLE, and here we will have a look at them.

A unification bout is confirmed for Heatwave 2026

NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo’s title challenger for Texas was set to be decided by a number one contender’s match between Grayson Waller and former TNA World Champion Cruz Montana (Mike Santana).

However, Zilla Fatu made his debut, attacking both men and ending the match in a DQ. On the August 18 edition of NXT, Fatu signed with the company, and GM Robert Stone revealed that Fatu’s contract states that he will make his debut in a title match.

A fatal four-way match involving the four men was announced moments later. The match marks Fatu’s in-ring debut, while it will mark D’Angelo’s sixth title defense.

On the other hand, NXT Women’s Champion Kendal Gray, after retaining the title in an NXT Underground match against Lola Vice, will defend the title against Kelani Jordan.

The match was confirmed when Gray granted Jordan a title shot at any time and any place. Jordan opted for the title shot in Texas and signed the contract to make the match official.

On the other hand, a title unification bout featuring the NXT Women’s North American & the WWE Women’s Speed title will take place on the PLE. Women’s North American Champion Zaria will take on Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair

Jackson Drake defeated Shiloh Hill after Naraku misted Hill. The win has now granted him a title shot against the NXT North American Champion Myles Borne in Texas.

WWE also announced that The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) will battle the NXT Tag Team Champions Myles Borne and Travion Heights for the tag titles at the PLE, which means Borne will pull a double duty defending both titles in Texas.

• Myles Borne (c) vs Jackson Drake – NXT North American title match
• Myles Borne & Tavion Heights (c) vs The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) – Tag team match for the NXT Tag Team titles
