The final stop before WrestleMania is set for February 28.

The Road to WrestleMania heats up after the Royal Rumble, reaching its final stop on February 28 with the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. The 16th Elimination Chamber event will air live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

As usual, the event will feature the two men’s and women’s Chamber matches, with the winner securing the WrestleMania spot against the World Champion, remaining after the Royal Rumble announce their picks.

The 2026 edition of Elimination Chamber marks a major return to the U.S., becoming the first edition held stateside since 2021 and the first with a live crowd in the country since 2020. It will also end a long hiatus for WWE at the United Center, which hasn’t hosted a PLE  in more than three decades.

In August 1994, SummerSlam etched its place in history by becoming the first sporting event ever held at the iconic venue. WWE is also building a stacked card for the historic show, featuring two of Chicago’s own megastars.

AJ Lee and CM Punk will compete in title matches in Chicago

During the February 9 episode of Raw, AJ Lee made her return to challenge Becky Lynch for a clash at the second PLE of 2026. Lee played to Becky’s ego and baited her into accepting the match; Lynch even agreed to put the Women’s Intercontinental title on the line.

Lee is 2-0 against Becky in their past two meeting last year at Wrestlepalooza and Survivor Series, respectively. However, this will be their first singles encounter, as the previous two have been a mixed-tag team match and a women’s WarGames match.

On the other hand, on the same show, Finn Balor once again demanded a title shot against CM Punk. Despite GM Adam Pearce’s objection, Punk stayed true to his fighting Champion mentality and asked Pearce to make the match official.

The General Manager reluctantly gave the green light, officially booking the World Heavyweight Championship rematch in Chicago, where Balor aims to defeat Punk on his home turf, just as Punk did to him in their first meeting in January.

Elsewhere, Randy Orton and LA Knight have qualified for the men’s Chamber match. The rest of the participants will be decided in the coming weeks.

Similarly, Tiffany Stratton and Rhea Ripley have secured their spot in the women’s Chamber match, while the remaining four spots will be filled on the upcoming shows of Raw and SmackDown before February 28.
