The 2025 edition of the PLE features John Cena’s final appearance!

In the aftermath of Money in the Bank 2025, the Stamford-based promotion is now planning to deliver the 2025 edition of Night of Champions. The 2025 edition of the show will be the 11th Night of Champions and is set for Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The show will feature stars from both the Raw and SmackDown rosters, and will host the finals of both the 24th King of the Ring tournament and the third Queen of the Ring tournament.

This will be the second Night of Champions held in Saudi Arabia, after the 2023 event. Additionally, it will also be the only WWE PLE and livestream event in Saudi Arabia for 2025. The 2025 edition marks John Cena’s final Night of Champions appearance, as well as his last event in the country as an active in-ring performer.

The promotion is building an amazing card for the show and has already kicked off the tournament to determine the finalists for the King and Queen of the Ring. The tournament will culminate in a match between the finalists at the PLE in Riyadh, and the winner of the tournament will earn a title shot against the Champions at SummerSlam.

During the June 9 episode of Monday Night Raw, Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena engaged in a fiery segment with CM Punk where Punk floated the idea of the two battling for the title right then and there but Cena shot down the idea stating if Punk wanted the title, it was going to be at Night of Champions.

The promotion made the match official later in the show. Cena is now set to defend the title for the second time against ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk on June 28.

On the June 16 episode of Monday Night Raw, AJ Styles met with GM Nick Aldis, who was filling in for Adam Pearce. Styles had just defeated JD McDonagh and evaded an attack by the Judgment Day, he also had the IC title but handed it to the GM without hesitation.

Aldis then announced that Styles will now have the opportunity to get the title back at Night of Champions as he will battle Dominik on June 28 in Riyadh with the IC title on the line.
