All matches announced for next week's WWE SmackDown (June 27, 2025): Tiffany Startton in action; Zelina Vega vs Giulia & more

The 06/20 SmackDown featured the first two semi-finals in the King & Queen of the Ring tournament!

The June 20 episode of Friday Night SmackDown emanated live from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The show continued to build towards the Night of Champions 2025.

In the first match of the show, Asuka defeated Alexa Bliss to secure her spot in the semi-finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament. She will battle the winner of the semi-finals clash between Jade Cargill and Roxanne Perez.

On the other hand, Randy Orton defeated Sami Zayn and is now waiting to battle the winner of Jey Uso vs Cody Rhodes in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament. The feud between LA Knight and Seth Rollins’ faction continued as during the singles match between Bronson Reed and Knight, Bron Breakker attacked, annihilating the Megastar as Reed also joined in landing three back-to-back tsunamis.

In the main event of the show, R-Truth won via disqualification as Cena attacked him with the title. This sequence led to CM Punk’s appearance as he charged towards Cena, who ultimately got the better of him after landing two back-to-back vicious shots using the title.

Cena then brought in a table, slamming Punk through it before delivering the infamous pipebomb promo of his own. Cena mocked Punk, claiming he liked his Night of Champions opponent more than anyone else he shared a locker room with. Calling him a “bullsh**ter”, the Champion also reminded Punk that he is not the voice of the voiceless, but is a millionaire and a capitalist.

During the June 20 episode of SmackDown, the promotion announced a stacked card for the June 27 show, which will emanate from Saudi Arabia. The next week’s episode will serve as the go-home show for Night of Champions 2025. The go-home show will air live from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

A total of three titles will be contested on the go-home show. WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton will put the title on the line against Nia Jax once again, this time in a last woman standing match. While Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega will defend the title against Giulia.

Additionally, after defeating Motor City Machine Guns, the Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis) will battle tag champs, the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford), and the WWE Tag Team titles will be on the line.
