Crown Jewel 2024 is the upcoming PLE of the WWE
WWE has been hosting special events in Saudi Arabia since 2014. In 2018, the company signed a 10-year strategic partnership with the Ministry of Sports and the partnership was expanded with the General Authority of Entertainment.
As a part of the deal, WWE has been hosting two major PLEs in Saudi Arabia, one in Jeddah and the other in Riyadh.
In this Riyadh Season, WWE is all set to host the 2024 Crown Jewel PLE on November 02, 2024, from the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 02, 2024.
WWE Chief Content Officer, Triple H made a special announcement at the Bad Blood PLE, revealing the Crown Jewel Championship and the unique gimmick for this year’s event, making it one of the highly anticipated PLE of the year.
WWE has started booking some interesting matches and segments. Here we take a look at all the confirmed matches for the upcoming 2024 Crown Jewel PLE so far.
All confirmed matches for WWE Crown Jewel 2024
- Men’s Crown Jewel Championship- Gunther vs Cody Rhodes
- Women’s Crown Jewel Championship- Nia Jax vs Liv Morgan
- LA Knight vs Carmelo Hayes vs Andrade (U.S Title)
- Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs IYO SKY and Kairi Sane vs Piper Niven and Chelsea Green vs Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson (Women’s Tag Titles)
- Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs Bronson Reed
- Kevin Owens vs Randy Orton
- Roman Reigns & The Usos vs The Bloodline
Men’s Crown Jewel Championship- Gunther vs Cody Rhodes
The World Heavyweight Champion Gunther will be squaring off against the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in a singles match for the first-ever Men’s Crown Jewel Championship. The match card featuring both Gunther and Cody Rhodes was officially released after Bad Blood confirmed the match.
However, Gunther defended his World title against Sami Zayn in a namesake match and retained the title to confirm it technically. This will be the first time both Cody and Gunther will be having a singles match and that to prove who is the dominant champion in the company.
Women’s Crown Jewel Championship- Nia Jax vs Liv Morgan
Similar to the men’s champion vs champion match, the Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan will be squaring off against the WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax in a singles match for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship. Both Jax and Liv are playing a heel role in their roster and the clash will determine who is the better heel women’s champion in the company.
LA Knight vs Carmelo Hayes vs Andrade (U.S Title)
LA Knight is all set to defend his United States Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Carmelo Hayes and Andrade at WWE Crown Jewel.
The intense rivalry between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes has resulted in some great battles, with the two Superstars winning three times each.
Although Game 7 between the two Superstars was supposed to decide who would face United States Champion LA Knight, the Megastar abandoned his duty as Special Guest Referee and smacked Hayes and Andrade with BFTs. As a consequence, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis determined that both wrestlers would battle Knight for the championship.
Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs IYO SKY & Kairi Sane vs Piper Niven & Chelsea Green vs Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson (Women’s Tag Titles)
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will defend their championship against Damage CTRL’s Kairi Sane and IYO SKY, NXT’s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, and Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match at WWE Crown Jewel.
After the four tandems fought for several weeks, General Managers Nick Aldis, Adam Pearce, and Ava banded together to stage a Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE championship.
Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs Bronson Reed
Seth Rollins, a former world heavyweight champion, returns to Saudi Arabia in two weeks to compete in Crown Jewel. Rather than wrestling in a world title battle in the Middle East, he will face a monster from the Monday Night Raw lineup.
For the time being, the WWE Visionary is in a rivalry with “Big” Bronson Reed. Following many violent altercations, the WWE has confirmed that both men will fight at the WWE Crown Jewel.
Kevin Owens vs Randy Orton
Randy Orton is prepared to teach Kevin Owens a lesson, and it will happen at Crown Jewel. During the 10/25 episode of WWE SmackDown, Orton entered the ring to begin the program and immediately got to the microphone.
He stated he’s been attempting to arrange a bout against Owens for a week and singled out Triple H as the only person who could make it happen after Nick Aldis declared the choice was “above him” last week. So, he confronted Triple H to make this match happen.
Roman Reigns & The Usos vs The Bloodline
“The OTC” Roman Reigns will rejoin his old teammates Jimmy and Jey Uso to face the new-look Bloodline in a Six-Man Tag Team match.
Reigns is on a quest to stop The Bloodline, which is commanded by usurper Solo Sikoa, and he gets The Usos’ backing as a result of the activities of Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu.
Jey Uso prospered after quitting The Bloodline, winning the Intercontinental Championship and felt he no longer required his brother and cousin.
However, Sikoa and his crew cost Uso the championship, requiring him to repay the favor by helping The Motor City Machine Guns dethrone Tonga and Loa. With the original Bloodline apparently on good terms, they will compete together to face the new Bloodline.
Seven matches have been confirmed for the PLE so far. However, we will update the matches, when the Big Shot organization confirms other matches for the show. Which match do you think could get added to the 2024 Crown Jewel PLE match card? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
