Survivor Series 2024 is the last PLE of the WWE for 2024
WWE is gearing up to host its last PLE of the year, Survivor Series 2024 which is scheduled to take place on November 30 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. The 38th edition of Survivor Series will be the third WarGames-themed event in the company’s history.
This is the third time WWE has hosted the PLE event in Canada and the first time it has been held in Vancouver. Previously the Stamford-based promotion hosted the PLE in Montreal in 1997 and Toronto in 2016 respectively.
The 2024 edition of Survivor Series marks the 38th installment of the event since its debut in 1987. It is the second-longest-running Premium Live Event (PLE) in WWE history, trailing only the company’s flagship event, WrestleMania.
The announcement for the 38th edition was made on August 1, 2024, by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque, better known to fans by his ring name, Triple H.

The OG Bloodline vs The new Bloodline
On the 11/08 episode of SmackDown The OTC Roman Reigns confronted Solo Sikoa who was accompanied by Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa. The OTC challenged Sikoa for a one-on-one match but the offer was denied by the new Tribal Chief.
Instead, Sikoa called out his ‘dawg’ Sami Zayn and hinted at the idea of a WarGames matchup at the upcoming PLE if Reigns can find a team. The OTC was then attacked by Sikoa and faction which led to the arrival of Jimmy and Jey Uso.
The new Bloodline took control of the brawl as Sikoa invited Zayn into the ring to Helluva kick The OTC once again. However, Zayn instead kicked the new Tribal Chief as the OG Bloodline cleaned house and decimated the rogue faction.
Amid ‘Sami Uso’ chants, Jimmy and Jey pointed upwards as Zayn walked forward in front of Reigns and did the same. The OTC joined them signifying the reunion of the OG Bloodline.
WWE legend and play-by-play commentator Michael Cole revealed at the end of the segment that the OG Bloodline would face off against the New Bloodline in a WarGames Match at Survivor Series 2024.
It was later revealed that the WarGames clash would now be a five-on-five clash, and both factions rushed to find their fifth member. Sikoa succeeded in finding the fifth member in Bronson Reed, while the OG faction is struggling to find someone who is willing to join hands with them.
The struggle for the OG faction to find their fifth member is now over as a returning Paul Heyman on the 11/22 episode brought an old associate with him.
“The Second City Saint” CM Punk made his highly anticipated return on the 11/22 episode of the Blue brand. Punk is the fifth member of the OG faction, joining Reigns and company to clean house in the same episode. Punk and Reigns landed a GTS and spear on Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa respectively.
Gunther vs Damian Priest – WWE World Heavyweight Championship
At Survivor Series: WarGames, Gunther will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against previous titleholder Damian Priest.
Gunther held the Intercontinental Championship for a record 666 days, won the 2024 King of The Ring, and cemented his status as one of WWE’s most formidable Superstars when he defeated Priest for the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam.
That win, however, came when Finn Bálor dominated The Biggest Event of the Summer by betraying Priest and assisting The Ring General in stealing the money from The Archery of Infamy.
Despite his recurring troubles with The Judgment Day, Priest won a Fatal 4-Way Match over Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Sheamus, and Dominik Mysterio, earning the opportunity to fight the World Heavyweight Champion at WWE’s Fall Classic.
Women’s Survivor Series WarGames Match
Rhea Ripley made her return on the pre-taped 11/18 episode of Monday Night Raw, in her return Mami attacked the WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Morgan along with Raquel Rodriguez was the reason behind Ripley’s injury.
The attack triggered a chaotic multi-woman brawl that involved Ripley, Morgan, Raquel, Jade Cargill, Iyo Sky, Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Candice LeRae.
In the end, Ripley, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Iyo Sky emerged victorious after clashing with Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax. The five vs five tag teams will now face each other in a Survivor Series Women’s War Games match.
In the women’s WarGames clash, the team of Bayley, Bianca Belair, Iyo Sky, Naomi & Rhea Ripley will take on the team of Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez & Candice Larae.
Jade Cargill is out of the match as she was brutally attacked and left bloodied on a car’s windshield. She was taken to the hospital with her tag partner Bianca Belair by her side.
Bayley has replaced Cargill as the fifth member of Rhea Ripley’s faction on the 11/29 show. The 11/29 show was pre-taped after the 11/22 show in Salt Lake City.
Bron Breakker (c) vs Sheamus vs Ludwig Kaiser – WWE Intercontinental Championship
On the 11/25 episode of the Red brand, Breakker locked horns with Ludwig Kaiser. This match was set up after Kaiser interfered in the title match between Breakker and Sheamus last week.
Breakker was looking to teach Kaiser a lesson while Kaiser wanted to make his case for the title shot with a win against the champion. However, similar to last week outside interference caused the match to end in a disqualification.
The Celtic Warrior attacked Kaiser during the match which led to the disqualification. Breakker confronted Sheamus which led to an all-out brawl between the three stars. The security and officials took control of the situation but the three started fighting again.
The General Manager Adam Pearce was irked by the situation and he came out to announce a triple threat action between the three stars for the upcoming PLE.
The IC title is on the line for the triple threat action between Breakker, Sheamus, and Kaiser at the Survivor Series 2024 PLE.
LA Knight (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura – WWE United States Championship
During the 11/25 episode of the Red brand, the promotion also announced a match between LA Knight and Shinsuke Nakamura with the US title on the line at the upcoming PLE in Vancouver.
Nakamura made his return earlier this month and attacked LA Knight in his return, the Japanese star attacked the US champion again on last week’s episode of the Blue brand.
The Japanese star also cut a promo which was played last week during Knight’s match against Santos Escobar. Nakamura stated that he had watched and studied the champion, even better than Knight himself. Nakamura criticized Knight for being riddled with insecurities.
The two stars are now set to lock horns in the squared ring at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver on November 30th.
