Two huge clashes have been confirmed so far for the PLE

Following the hugely successful SummerSlam event, WWE is preparing to wow fans once more with Bash in Berlin. Fans are anxiously anticipating this event, which promises to be magnificent. WWE, like SummerSlam, is going above and beyond to make Bash in Berlin an unforgettable event.

So far, only two matches have been confirmed: the World Heavyweight Championship contest between Gunther and Randy Orton & Undisputed WWE Championship between Kevin Owens & Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes (c) vs Kevin Owens – Undisputed WWE Championship Match

The WWE Universe is eagerly anticipating a blockbuster showdown at Bash in Berlin, where Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will defend his title against his long-time ally Kevin Owens.

This match promises to be a thrilling encounter, as Owens has been battling The Bloodline for over four years, cementing his status as one of WWE’s most resilient Superstars.

After Rhodes successfully defended his championship against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam, he extended an unexpected challenge to Owens, offering him the opportunity to face him at Bash in Berlin.

The history between these two competitors adds an extra layer of intrigue, as they previously faced off in early 2022, with Rhodes securing a count-out victory shortly after his return to WWE.

As a fighting champion, Rhodes has successfully defended his title against top-tier talent like AJ Styles, Logan Paul, and Sikoa. The question now is whether he can continue his reign, or if Owens will finally capture his second world championship.

Randy Orton vs Gunther (c) – World Heavyweight Championship Match

A highly anticipated clash is set to take place when World Heavyweight Champion Gunther returns to Europe to defend his title against Randy Orton.

Gunther, who captured the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam by defeating Damian Priest, has been on a dominant run, with his controversial King of the Ring victory over Orton in Saudi Arabia still fresh in the minds of the WWE Universe.

The Viper shocked everyone by appearing on Monday Night Raw after Gunther’s title win, where he announced that Adam Pearce had granted him a championship opportunity at Bash in Berlin. The stakes couldn’t be higher, with the winner staying on Raw and the loser being drafted to SmackDown.

Gunther, known for his relentless in-ring style, welcomed the challenge, eager to prove his supremacy on home turf. This showdown in Germany promises to be a monumental World Heavyweight Title match, pitting two of WWE’s best against each other in a battle for supremacy.

Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio vs. Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest – Mixed tag team match

WWE has confirmed that Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley will battle Dominik Mysterio and WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at the premium live event on August 31.

This comes after Mysterio turned on Ripley and helped Morgan defeat her to retain the title at WWE SummerSlam. Finn Balor of Judgment Day also betrayed Priest at WWE SummerSlam, costing him the World Heavyweight Championship bout against Gunther.

On the August 12th edition of WWE Raw, Priest and Ripley faced off against Mysterio and Morgan. Priest then defeated Carlito in a singles match.

CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre – Strap Match

CM Punk & Drew McIntyre has been brawling & chasing for weeks in the fall out of SummerSlam for the bracelet. On the August 12, 2024 episode of Raw, Punk whipped Drew with the leather belt and teased that he got a way to stop Drew from escaping.

On the August 19 episode of Raw, Punk executed his plan by challenging Drew for a strap match at Bash in Berlin, and said that he would mark permanent scars on Drew’s back to get the bracelet from him. Drew agreed to the match and WWE officially confirmes the match for the Bash in Berlin PLE.

The Unholy Union (C) vs Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

At Clash at the Castle, Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill lost their tag team title to Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn in a triple threat match. They asked for a rematch for the title, but the match ended in a no contest after the interference of Blair Davenport. The Unholy Union on the other hand succesfully defended their title on the August 19, 2024 episode of Raw against The Pure Fusion Collective & Damage CTRL & defended it succesfully.

Following that Nick Aldis confirmed that the champs will be defending their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the line against the former tag team champions Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill, as they never pinned the former champs. The match is confirmed for Bash in Berlin and is the third championship match on the board.
