WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton & Trish Stratus vs Nia Jax & Candice LeRae – Tag Team match

On the 02/14 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton defended her title in a rematch against Nia Jax. Candice LeRae was in the corner of Jax during the match which saw both the champion and challenger put on a show but in the end, LeRae interfered in the match when Stratton was looking for the finish which caused the disqualification.

LeRae and Jax then attacked the champion, WWE legend Trish Stratus who was in the audience rushed to Stratton’s aid. However, the numbers game was too much as Jax and LeRae battered Stratus and Tiffany. This attack led Stratus to float the idea of a tag team match against Jax and LeRae which the champion liked. The match was later made official and the two teams will now battle at the PLE next month.

Women’s Elimination Chamber match

Following in the tradition the PLE will feature two Elimination Chamber matches where six participants will collide to get a chance to challenge the champion at WrestleMania. Due to the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair choosing WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, all the participants will be gunning for the Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.

The first woman to qualify for the match was Liv Morgan followed by Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, and Bayley. The final contestant for the match was decided on the 02/17 episode of WWE Raw where Roxanne Perez defeated Raquel Rodriguez in the final qualifying match to secure the final spot.

Men’s Elimination Chamber match

In the men’s Elimination Chamber match the six participants are chasing the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes as the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble winner Jey Uso picked the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther for WrestleMania.

After failing to win the men’s Royal Rumble match, 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena announced his entry into the men’s Chamber match. CM Punk was the second man to secure his spot, although he was the first one to qualify followed by Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and Damian Priest. The final spot in the match was filled on the 02/17 episode of WWE Raw where Seth Rollins defeated Finn Balor in the main event to qualify.

Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn – Unsanctioned match

Kevin Owens once again turned on Sami Zayn as he ambushed his former friend landing the package piledriver. KO wanted Zayn to aid him during his Undisputed WWE title ladder match against Cody Rhodes at the Roya Rumble PLE.

KO then despite apologizing for the attack challenged Zayn to a clash at the Chamber PLE which will take place in their home country of Canada. Zayn made an appearance on the 02/17 show of Raw to address the challenge and while General Manager Adam Pearce advised him against it, Zayn made his decision and demanded Pearce to make the match official.

Pearce finally made the match official between Sami and Kevin Owens for Elimination Chamber but stated that the match was not official but unsanctioned and that whatever happens he and the WWE will not be responsible.

The Rock & Cody Rhodes segment

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson made his electrifying return on the 02/21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. During his appearance, Johnson announced the official date and location of the 42nd edition of WrestleMania.

Johnson then called out the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Rock mentioned their friendship which has formed over the past year since WrestleMania 40. The Final Boss praised Rhodes as an outstanding champion but offered him the opportunity to become “his champion,” stating that it would boost Cody’s career and create opportunities for his family.

However, Cody declared himself the champion of the people. Johnson urged Cody to consider the offer and gave him time to think, with the final decision to be made at Elimination Chamber PLE.

When Rhodes brought up the Undisputed WWE Championship asking if Johnson wanted that, Johnson revealed his true intentions, saying, “No. I want your soul.” Johnson is now waiting for an answer at the Elimination Chamber PLE which will emanate from the Rogers Centre in Toronto on March 1.
