WWE will kick off the Europe tour on the road to WrestleMania next week
The Stamford-based promotion delivered the 03/10 episode of Monday Night RAW from the iconic Madison Square Garden. Multiple big names, including comedian Andrew Schulz, boxing stars such as Freddie Roach, Callum Walsh, and Amanda Serrano, were present in the arena to witness the show of the Red brand.
The promotion had announced multiple matches and segments for the show, including an appearance from the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The show also featured the return of Chad Gable and “The OTC” Roman Reigns.
In the first match of the evening, Jey Uso defeated Grayson Waller but was ambushed by World Heavyweight Champion Gunther after the match who put him to sleep. New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) defeated LWO (Dragon Lee & Rey Mysterio) in the tornado tag match as a masked man ambushed Lee and Mysterio during the match.
Raquel Rodriguez pinned Bayley to become the #1 contender to the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship while Seth Rollins and CM Punk put on a barn burner in the main event which featured multiple GTSs, Stomps and near pinfalls.
However, in the end “The OTC” Roman Reigns made his return and pulled Rollins out of the ring, effectively meaning that Seth had escaped the cage and secured the victory. Reigns then exacted his revenge, returning the favor and landing the stomp on Rollins.
“The Wiseman” Paul Heyman also made his return and was consoling CM Punk inside the ring, which irked Reigns as he started laughing and stepped into the ring to drive Punk into the cage wall, followed by a vicious spear.
During the show, the promotion announced multiple matches and segments for the 03/17 show of the Red brand which will emanate from the Forest National in Brussels, Belgium. Dakota Kai is set to battle Ivy Nile on the next week’s show.
A no-holds-barred is also set for the show where Penta will battle Ludwig Kaiser while the Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker is set to defend his title against Finn Balor. Additionally, after this week’s attack, Jey Uso is now set to battle Austin Theory.
The 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena is also set to make his return after winning the men’s Chamber match and turning heel to attack Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The two stars will be under one roof on next week’s show and it would definitely be an interesting segment. The show will also have an early start time of 3 pm ET/12 pm PT.
