The final entrants usually have the highest probability of winning
The Royal Rumble is a professional wrestling match that follows Battle Royal rules, where participants eliminate opponents by tossing them over the top rope. The match usually features 30 competitors, with two wrestlers starting, and new entrants joining every 90 seconds until all participants are in the ring.
While the final entrants typically have the highest chance of winning, this isn’t always the case, as proven by numerous stars over the years. The Royal Rumble match debuted in 1988 with only twenty participants. However, starting in 1989, the match expanded to include 30 competitors, all fighting for a shot at the title.
On the other hand, the 2011 Royal Rumble event was the only one to feature 40 participants from both brands, instead of the usual 30.
The Women’s Rumble match was later added by WWE in 2018 and was held as the main event at the 2018 Rumble PLE. Since 2018, the PLE has featured two Rumble matches in each division. The winner of the match who persists despite the onslaught and survives, wins the match and gets a title shot against the champion at WrestleMania.
Let us now take a look at the list of stars who have entered in the number-thirty spot in the men’s and women’s Rumble matches.
