Danhausen is quite popular among the WWE Universe!

Since debuting at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Danhausen has cursed numerous WWE superstars and personalities, but has only genuinely uncursed one person so far.

WWE referee Dan Engler remains the sole individual to receive a legitimate uncursing from the “very nice, very evil” star, after Danhausen accidentally cursed him during a backstage segment.

Danhausen has become one of WWE’s most entertaining additions in 2026, spreading his supernatural curse across the roster and beyond since his shocking debut at WWE Elimination Chamber.

The eccentric character has made cursing his signature gimmick, targeting everyone from main event stars to social media influencers with his supposed bad luck hex.

Since arriving in WWE, Danhausen has cursed Dominik Mysterio, The Miz, Kit Wilson, IShowSpeed, Grayson Waller, and Kofi Kingston, among others.

The curse has seemingly worked every time, with victims experiencing losses, mishaps, and general chaos following their encounters with the face-painted star. However, when it comes to removing the curse, the story is quite different.

On April Fools’ Day 2026, Danhausen pulled off an elaborate prank by posting on social media that he had uncursed several of his victims. He went through his list one by one, telling IShowSpeed, The Miz, Kit Wilson, Dominik Mysterio, and Grayson Waller that they were finally free from his hex, only to immediately reveal it was an April Fools’ joke. None of those so-called uncursings were real.

Every superstar uncursed by Danhausen

WWE referee Dan Engler holds a unique distinction in Danhausen’s WWE run. He is the only person the supernatural star has genuinely uncursed. The incident occurred during a backstage segment when Danhausen accidentally cursed the longtime referee, who has been with WWE since 2013 and previously worked in TNA as Rudy Charles.

Unlike his usual approach of demanding “human monies” or other conditions for removing curses, Danhausen took responsibility for the accidental cursing. He told Engler, “Usually I charge a monetary human money fee for this, but it was my fault so… this one’s on Danhausen!”

The uncursing was legitimate and not part of any prank or storyline twist. Engler, who has refereed matches in 26 countries and 46 states throughout his career, was freed from the curse without having to meet any of Danhausen’s typical demands.

Multiple WWE stars have begged Danhausen to remove their curses. IShowSpeed appeared on the March 30 episode of Raw specifically to plead with Danhausen for an uncursing, claiming his life had become a disaster since being cursed. However, Danhausen demanded a billion dollars, streaming rights, and a cabana boy, conditions Speed could not meet.

The Miz has also sought mentorship opportunities in exchange for an uncursing, while others continue to feel the effects of Danhausen’s supernatural powers. So far, none of them have received the same courtesy extended to Dan Engler.

As Danhausen continues his WWE run, the question remains whether any other superstars will successfully negotiate their way out of his curse, or if Engler will remain the sole exception to the rule.
